"I see. Sorry for being cautious, but since we were just attacked, i couldn't leave my guard down." Jultun said, "Not that i ever do, of course. As a officer of the law, i have to be ready to bring down anybody who causes trouble." He smiled, "However, i hear you're a friend of Hunter, so a friend of hers is a friend of mine." He stuck out his hand, "I'm Jultun."

Arya shook it saying, "I'm Arya, as you already know. Come on, my house is this way." She said, gesturing to the wood. Rebeca nodded and followed.

Jultun took off after the two, catching up with them a few minutes later. His visor turned on, scanning the undergrowth.

Arya laughed. "The only dangerous things in here are the mushrooms." She gestured to a bright yellow and green mushroom with white spots. She was walking until the found a clearing. In the centre was a cabin the size of a small house, with the cimmney smoking. "welcome to my house." Said Arya cheerfully.

"Thank you." Jultun said, "And you can never be too careful. the one time you get careless is the time you're attacked."

Arya nodded, walking into the house. It was warm, due to the merrily dancing flames. Hunter was sitting on a chair, her shoulder in bandages. "The pheonix tears cured the poison, but the cut won't heal by magical means. It will have to heal on it's own, naturally." Explained Arya, noticing Rebeca's confused look.

"I understand." Jultun walked over, "however, i have something which could also be of assistance, high-tech bandages which help a wound to heal almost five times faster." He pulled a small bandage out of his cargo pants. "Those Technicians at the lab don't get paid for nothing, you know." He handed the bandages to Arya, "I'll leave for a bit for you to put these on."

Arya shook her head. "You can stay. I've got some soup boiling anyway, and it would be a shame to eat without vistors." She said as she walked over to Hunter and started undoing the badages. When they were undone, they revealed an inch-deep cut. Arya put a couple bandages on the cut. "There, Sweetie." Said Arya. Hunter said, "Thanks guys, to both of you."

"There is someone else who needs to be mentioned." Jultun said, "Rebecca here helped chase off that guy. She should have just as much recognition."

"I know. I see a small cut across her neck. It's not bad, but because his blade was poisoned, it still needs treatment." Arya reached into her pocket and pulled out a vial of clear liquid. She put a couple drops on a cloth and went up to Rebeca. "This won't hurt a bit dear." Cooed Arya as she pressed the cloth to the cut. When she took it off, the cut was clean and dry. "There we go." She said cheerfully. "I watched your battle, I hoped to come out of the forest, but then a little Houndour can by and it was injured." Said Arya. Rebeca noticed a scroll lying open. It was writen in footprint runes. A flash of reconition went through her eyes as she went over to the scroll.

"Caring for others has never been my strong point." Jultun said, "Usually, they just get in my way. Unless, however, they are like Hunter here. I know from experience how much skill she has. I know she can handle herself." He looked at Hunter. "Just be warned, that's my policy. You watch your own back in combat. Otherwise, you strain yourself too much and get in the way of others, and possibly get them killed."

Hunter nodded. "Those you care for are usually the first to get in your way." She said. Meanwhile, Arya was showing Rebeca the scroll. "Where did you get this?" Asked Rebeca. "I got it from a Seer who's my friend. This scroll right here is a prophecy." Said Arya simply. "I know you can read it. Will you translate?" Asked Arya. Rebeca was stunned at the fact she was looking at a prophecy.

(The way she said that, is gonna remind him of his love, who died in that exact way. He was trying to protect both her and himself, and couldn't pull it off. That's why he has such policies, so he won't blame himself again.)
Hunter nodded. Hunter's words touched him, but he wouldn't let it show. "A prophesy? Hm. What's it about, Rebecca?"

"It has something to do with you and Arya." Said Rebeca, picking it up and reading, "One with the power of seven elements willl travel acrosss the land. Alongside her will travel three companions. One with the name of a sword. One who was raised in forest green. And one who has never done wrong. They will travel to a distant land, and battle thier worst enemy. along the way, one will be lost to the sands of sun. One will be lost in the blackness of night, and one will die as she defends the other. In the end, one will make a choice that will either destroy or bring peace to our world." Rebeca finished the prophecy. Arya nodded, knowing that she was the one to be lost last.

"Hm. And I had hopes for that one too." Jultun said, leaning back. "But it's just as phony as the other prophesies out there. Would you believe the amount of prophesies people come up with? There are some with the Rebels winning, some with us winning, some with peaceful negotiations. That's just one of a million."

Arya shook her head. "Most of those aren't made by true Seers. I got this one from Celebi." She said. "This has nothing to do with the Rebels or the IP. I has to do with good and evil itself."

"Ah, you do know your myths." Jultun commented, standing up. "Good and evil is only a plotline for books, but other than that, it doesn't have anything to do with people. I've seen 'good' people commit 'evil' acts, 'evil' people commit 'good' acts, and then someone doing both 'good' and 'evil' acts at the same time."

Arya stared at Jultan with a penetrating gaze. "Are you saying that there is no such thing as good and evil? If you are right, then what's the point of fighting for what you believe in? What's the point of even having an alligence?" Her voice was as cold as winter snow.

|
|
Post by Blade on Dec 16, 2008 0:24:49 GMT -5
"The point of having a alligence is making yourself stronger, either to protect those who are weak or exploit them." Jultun shrugged, "Depending on the kind of people they are, protection and exploition are only a few options. I know several people who could easily be knocked off. Lucky for them, my allegience is to the IP, who has sworn to protect them."

Arya didn't let off on her penetrating gaze, but her voice was gentler, "I see. Sorry for snapping at you. I have a tendancy to lose control again." She held up the scroll. "As I said, I got this scroll from Celebi. She's rarely ever wrong."

Jultun shrugged, "With the current trouble with the Rebels, i'm used to it. The citizens are getting iratated that we havn't stopped the Rebels yet, and the commanders are iratated that the Rebels are this hard to stop. There's been a bit of infighting between us, although we're always working together besides personal quarrels."

Arya nodded. Hunter looked concerned, "Maybe if we found thier main base, we could find a way to uproot thier plans fron the inside....."

"We've already tried that. In fact, that kind of thing was my first mission." Jultun commented patiently, "We can't use head-on assault, because the fatalities would be too great."

Hunter replied to Jultan, "Hmmmm, then whats the currant Plan Partner?" Arya almost sang the 'Sittin' in a Tree' song.

"Currently, we're blockading their borders, weakening them by minimizing outward and inward trade, and by keeping them from taking over more planets." Jultun smiled at Hunter, "We play a large role in that, which is why we're here."

((Before you ask, you are probably thinking: Didn't Arya live in a waterfall cave? Well, she does. This house she only uses if there's a wounded person nearby.))
Arya walked over to a bubbling pot full of heating soup. She took a spoon out and said, "Hungry?" Hunter nodded.

Hunter dug in and Rebeca was already half done. Arya ate her soup too. "Like my recipe?"
