Jultun raised his left hand, creating a shield of energy. When the darkness struck it, it seemed to be rebounded.

Arok simply waved his hand and it dissapeared. Rebeca was below, frozen with fear. Hunter was in ready poisition. Arok swooped down, intending to grab Hunter. Hunter spun around and slashed Arok's left wing membrane. He howled. He drew his own sword and slashed at Hunter. She blocked lazily and struck at Arok lightening fast. Hellfire! She's strong! He though as he blocked. He once again flew upwards.

Jultun lept, appearently defying gravity. "I trained on a planet where the gravitational force is twice this one's." He charged his sword, ready to finish this. "And so, you cannot escape me with your wings!" He took a swing, aiming more to disarm his opponent by destroying his weapon than to kill him.

But the poison on Aroks weapon blocked the effect. Arok flew down and slashed at both Jultan and Hunter. Hunter blocked lazily, but her shoulder was cut, and it throbbed with the poison.

(You know plasma burns at over 3,000 degrees, right, and pretty much nothing could survive such heat? The plasma on Jultun's sword is covering the blade, but the blade itself is made of a new kind of alloy which can survive the heat. And it also is scientifically engineered to focus the heat into a cutting blade, making it that much more powerful.)
What? Jultun managed to block the slash, evading the poisonous strike. I will study this target further. But first i must see to my partner. That is how I have been trained, and that is how I shall react. He landed near Hunter, staring up at Arok. "You may have won this round, sir, but be aware that i'm going to find you someday. And when i do, it won't end the same way." He looked over at Hunter. "His blade, i've never seen anything like it. I'll have to do more research. But first I have to get you and the civilian out of here." He picked up Rebecca. "I can lift you as well, if you can't get away on your own."

Rebeca was still partly frozen. "I thought...I thought he was going to kill me. I thought I was going to join Moonshade..."She said shakily. Hunter shuddered. "I've seen that poison before. His blade was made by elves, and enchanted so it can't be broken or melted. That poison puts a double protection on the blade. It was taken from a dragon that comes from Arya's world. It can only be cured by Pheonix tears, but I think the poison has weakened, so it won't kill me, only render my arm usless if not treated."Said Hunter a bit weakly.

"Let's go. we don't want any more wounds." Jultun said, walking over. "The longer we stay here, the better the chance this guy will attack again."

Hunter noded. "Come on. We need to find someone with a vial of Pheonix Tears, or we go to the hospital. I don't think I'll do well with a mechanical arm."

"Sounds like we have one choice then, Phoenix Tears." Jultun said, starting to walk away. "You take the lead, if you have anyone who may have some, I won't know where they are. And if he attacks again, i want to be between you and him."

"Too late!" Said a voice behind them. Arok had landed silently behind them. His sword was drawn. A wicked poison coated the blade, so plasma was usless.

"Ah, decided to come to the ground." Jultun said, then called out to Hunter and Rebecca behind him, "Leave now, i'll keep him busy while you flee." He continued to focus on Arok's movements. He decided to go first, coming at Arok with several slashed aimed not at his sword but at him, using his full strength he gained in training.

Arow merly backflipped and slashed, trying to cause a headache for Jultan by using high frequency bat calls.

Jultun blocked the slash, obviously unaffected by the calls.
(He's human, so he can't hear sounds of that frequency)

Jultun moved his leg so arok's foot would go between them, then tried to close his legs over Arok's, trapping him, and took a couple swings at him.

Arok flapped his wings, buffeting Jultan, and backflipped to keep his foot from being trapped.

Jultun's hair flew back from the wind, but he didn't slide back. He kept his eye on Arok, then charged.

Arok dodged, but howled as a silver blade potruded from his leg. He stumbled, then took flight, flying aweay, yelling, "I'll be back!" In his place stood Rebeca. She was holding a bloodstained shortsword, and was shaking badly.

"I'll be waiting." Jultun called back, then looked at Rebeca. "Didn't I tell you to run with Hunter? Your actions, brave as they were, could have cost your life, and possibly even my own."

Rebeca nodded. "I...I'm sorry....I just couldn't....He looked like he was going to use Elemental storm....."Said Rebeca shakily. She trembled, then broke down. "I'm so sorry! I thought I was helping!" She sobbed.

"It's ok, in the end you did help. But i'm asking you to think about what could happen before acting." Jultun was trying to comfort her. "In reality, you remind me of myself when I was younger." He smiled, "Wanting to do everything." He set his hand on her shoulder. "All i'm going to ask is you think about what could happen next time. And then do what you believe right." He looked around, "Now, which direction did Hunter go off to? We need to get her those Phoenix Tears as soon as possible."

Rebeca pointed into a nearby wood. "She said someone named Arya has some Pheonix Tears, and that she lives in that wood." She said. She got up and wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry, I have a tendancy to break down easily, especially since Moonshade died."

"He said he would." Jultun commented, then added darkly, "there is no honor among theives, but get one caught and they all come running. What i mean is, they cheat and extort each other, but when it comes to the police, they'll help each other out. People like him are always on time to try to get even with someone like me, a officer of the law."
