A shady hooded figure walked among the grass, looking across the field.

Inari smiled and patted a Pikachu on the head as Akel'tri watched her.

As though he had sensed them, the hooded figure looked over at them. "Who're you?"

Akel'tri stood in front of Inari, not liking the feeling he got from the newcomer. "My name is Akel'tri."

"Akel'tri?" He seemed to be trying to remember something, then asked, "Do you know anything about me?"
(He's trying to start over from a life of constant 'work', the kind where if he told you, he would have to kill you. Needless to say, he's wanted on many different planets for his work. He really does NOT want to run into any IP officers at this point in time.)

"No." The half net'lon raised an eyebrow. Inari stood up and stood behind Akel'tri. I really don't like the feeling I'm getting from this guy... The powers I'm picking up...

"Good, let's keep it that way." the guy said, "Since you know nothing, i have no reason to fight you."

"We're just researchers," Inari said. "We study Pokemon. That's all we're doing."

The hooded man looked into Inari's eyes, searching for any information he may find useful in them.
(Which alchemist is this? I can't remember, but does he/she know Hunter and Jultun?)

[Inari is the Crystal. And yeah, she does]
Akel'tri held his wing in front of Inari to block anything. He glared.

"I have already found what I wanted to know, Akel." The man said, almost coldly. "I know, for example, you have contacts in the IP. Contacts, such as Vice Commander Jultun."

Inari folded her arms. "I'd never talk to him again. Offering me another military job when I'm already a dog of the Amestris Military... Having been so for seven years... Bah. Baka man."

"He's a pretty high ranking officer." The man said, "He's below the Commander, who in turn is below the Galactic Council, or the galaxy's government."

Inari shrugged. "Like I care," she said.

"You should." The guy looked either stunned or annoyed, perhaps a combination of both. "In case you were wondering how I know so much, I will say the best way to get to know someone is to work with them, and against them. For instance, he's the only one who can match my skill with this." He pulled out a silver handle, which seemed harmless... Until he flipped a switch and a red blade of pure plasma slid out. "You are looking at a weapon so powerful, only three have been made. I have this one, the other two are in the possession of the rebels and the IP. One each." He looked satisfied, and turned off the blade. "I once worked for whichever side paid better."

"None of this stuff is really my concern," Inari said. "My loyalty lies to my family, friends and Amestris. That's it." She took her long black hair down and turned around, kneeling back down to the level of an Eevee.

"You know you could easily become involved at any time, correct? If the rebels find this planet, and if they attack, won't you be in the midst of the crossfire? And what happens if your family is struck down? Would you just sit by idly?"

Inari had stopped paying attention and was taking notes on the Eevee. "Inari doesn't like the military because of her experiences in it. So just leave her alone," Akel'tri said.

"Who'll make me?" The guy said, not entirely hostilely, but with a little bit of a threat behind his words.

"I don't want to fight. Just please stop," Akel'tri said with a sigh. He had been dealing with Matsu a lot as of late and the Ice Alchemist's temper was hard to deal with.

"I can tell your thinking about someone else." The guy said, then seemed to add "I guess it wouldn't hurt much to give you my name. As long as you promise not to spill it to your little friends in the IP. As far as they're concerned, I'm dead, and that suits me fine. I've been meaning to start over with a clean slate, and I finally got the chance to do so."

"I'm known as X390. You're wondering how I got such a strange name, right?" x390 stated, staring at Akel'tri. "You look like an honest type, besides, if you are an informant for the IP, they've already heard this. I grew up in an underground organization that takes children and trains them to be skilled assassins. The letter in my name stands for Xavier, the name of the class I was in. There are twenty six classes, each has a specific name starting with a unique letter. Anyway, after graduating, I became a free agent, working for whoever would pay best. Then the war between the IP and the Rebels started."

He nodded. At least I don't have to worry about Valacia in this, he thought.

"After that, i worked for rising prices for either side, until eventually some guy from the IP i was supposed to work with turned against me, and made the mistake of thinking he'd killed me. But, although i would love some revenge, i've decided it's for the best, and that i can live a normal life under the radar." x390 smiled, "That is, unless something else happens."

X390 looked at Akel'tri oddly. "What do you mean? Meeting Assassins is very rare. Living to talk about it even rarer. If I hadn't retired by now, i probably would have killed you just for seeing me."

Akel'tri blinked. "I guess yo mean some sort of organization. I was just saying I've met assassins in general."
