Stretching

[Kiki]

Insyo walked along as the full moon rose above. The light turned her black hair silver and blew in a phantom breeze.

[Blade]

A red, flickering light shone in the distance, and as she walked it would become more detailed, a person envoloped by fire.

[Kiki]

Insyo raised her eyebrow and smiled. "Interesting."

[Blade]

The teenage guy noticed her. His flames went out, as he eyed her. "Got a problem?"
A salamence napping in the distance raised it's head, watching the pair.

[Kiki]

"No. Just wondering what one is doing out in the desert in the middle of te night. The time of spirits and magic, the veil between life and death is thin..."

[Blade]

Natsu charged, "You've challenged me?" He tossed a fist at Insyo, restraining the use of his flames. "You won't get away with that threat, whoever you are!"
The salamence got up, and took flight, coming in between the two of them. "That's enough, Natsu. I'm sure she didn't mean it in that way."

[Kiki]

She shook her head. "No, no. The night is just the time of spirits, the time when the veil is thin. My playtime."

[Blade]

"Ah, that's boring though..." Natsu said, sitting down with a flop on the sand. "Won't you move, Iignil? Then I can amuse myself..."

[Kiki]

"I am a priestess. I have no desire to fight you."

[Blade]

"You said something about spirits." Iignil said, "Just what, if you don't mind me asking, is your involvement with them?"
Natsu looked around, looking for something to burn, if just for a couple minute's enjoyment. He eventually gave up, finding nothing but sand. "Iignil, can we take a job sometime? Soon?" He asked.
"You know as well as I do that Jobs are difficult to come by." Iignil told him, "But let's see what we can find later." Iignil returned his gaze to Insyo. "I appologise for Natsu. Indeed, he is quite the headache of a kid, but he means well." Iignil sat, "If you have time, I would like to tell you our story. I would normally not tell our story to others, however I sense that you do not mean harm."

[Kiki]

She nodded and bowed, sweeping her hand and putting it over her heart. "Insyo, head priestess of the church in this city. Mother and Master Sandu would punish me if I betrayed anybody's confidence."

[Blade]

Iignil closed his eyes, and began speaking.
"Several years ago, Natsu was abandoned by his biological parents. After I came across the pitiful thing he was, I took him under my wing. I taught him the steel determination and fiery spirit of the dragons, however he has yet to learn the proper timing." Iignil chuckled, "At first, I had to protect him from harm. However, through his determination and constant training, he formed, what you could call, his own style of fire magic. For the first time, he could now defend himself well." Iignil breathed out a plume of smoke, "His constant training also produced another skill, which causes some to call him a monster." The dragon grinned, "It will be easier to show you what I mean."
The dragon took a short breath, and breathed a short river of flame at Natsu. The fire circled around Natsu's body, and did no appearent harm, while Natsu took it in his hand and began eating the flames.
"His training made him one with fire," The dragon explained, "And he can break ingested fire down into it's magical properties in order to fuel his power. However, this will only work if the fire is created by another source. He cannot eat his own flames, or anything he sets aflame. Also, any other element, if he ate it, would be similar to poison."

[Kiki]

Insyo nodded.

[Blade]

Iignil smiled at her lack of surprise. "It appears you are not surprised. Anyway, we now travel the world seeking various jobs from various people." He sighed, "Although either there are not many who require our assistance, or we are too little known to recieve enough requests. Natsu, here, gets warmed up when there is a fight to be had, but he's actually a good kid."

[Kiki]

"I have experienced much. I witnessed the rise and fall of the Pantheon. Little surprises me."

[Blade]

Iignil laid down, "If we had more nakama..." He looked up at her, "Or as you would probably say, comrades, allies, maybe even as far as family." He shifted, "... We could probably complete more jobs. Of course, we'd need someplace large to use as a main base..."

[Kiki]

"There are many buildings avalible buildings in the city."

[Blade]

The Salamence nodded, "Perhaps we could find something there."
"I'm bored, let's take an S-rank mission, alright?" Natsu said.
"No. Those are extremely few, and you are not yet ready." Iignil grinned at Insyo, "We've developed a system for ranking jobs, according to difficulty. S is the highest it goes, and since there are rarely anything urgent and hazardous, they're few and far between." He glanced back at Natsu, "Not that we'd take any until he was able to control himself, anyway."

[Kiki]

Insyo nodded.

[Blade]

"Oh, I must be boring you, always talking about us." Iignil said, turning the focus of the conversation to Insyo. "What about you?"

[Kiki]

"There is not much interesting about me oter than I am nigh into my thousands."

[Blade]

Natsu began trying to drag Iignil by the tail, "C'mon, there's nothing left to talk about. Let's get going."
Iignil sighed, "I suppose he's right. Besides he won't stop bothering me unless we go. Thanks for the tip about the available buildings."

[Kiki]

She nodded. "It was no problem."

[Blade]

Natsu climbed onto Iignil's back, as the mighty lizard (lol) took off, and headed toward town.
