"Good first day," the owner said. "Normally, I'd wait until the end of the week to pay you, but I can pay you for today since you said you don't have much cash. Let's see. That was an 8 hour shift at $7/hour for your Aquit's help and $5/hour plus tips for working as a waitress, so that's $96."
