Dexter walked, a Riolu following. "It's nice to take a break. Sorry if I do some things wrong, I'm.... Uh, new to this."
The Riolu nodded. "I get it. You can nickname me you know." He commented.
"Hmmm. How about Ryke?" Dexter asked, sitting down under a tree. Riolu sat down as well.
"Ryke sounds good." Ryke smiled.
Dexter put on a hat. "Do you want to do battles, or Contests?"
"Battles. It has a lot of strategy."
"I LIVE for strategy." Dexter smiled. He stood up, smiling. "Now let's train."

"Ah, but Contests are also strategical." Insyo walked by, smiling. A black Meowth sat on her head. "One must think of the way to best show the beauty of their Pokemon. To combine attacks into moving beauty is the ultimate in strategy."

Dexter looked at her. "I meant battle strategy. I always used them to take down Mandark, my nemisis."
"Cool, you have a nemisis?" Ryke asked.

A Rattata jumped out. Ryke jumped back. "Quick Attack! Fast!" Ryke jumped back, then ran forward, Ramming into Rattata. Rattata fell back.

Rattata ran to Ryke, spinning and using Tail whip. "Jump and use Force Palm!" Ryke jumped up and flipped out of the way, running to Rattata and put on the Rattata, then fired an Aura blast. "One powerful attack, and he's done for!"

"Quick attack!" Ryke nodded and ran back. He sped forward, full sprint. He rammed into Rattata, knocking it out. "Yeah!" He used a pokebal to catch it. "Yeah! First pokemon!"

Dexter smiled and got out some berries for Ryke and Rattata. He released the Rattata. Dexter gave him a berry. He ate it.
