Atop a mountain stood a lone observatory, however this was no ordinary building, but the home of Astros's new lab.
"Destinos, i've been working on a new body for you. It's got many of the same features, with a few more added in for good measure." The small alien said, typing at a control panel. "A few more adjustments, and it'll be ready to try out.
A large mech approached. "Are you sure? This body's not even at one-thirtieth it's life span!"
"I'm pretty sure you'll like it more, Destinos." Astros said, smiling. "It'll get you where you need to be faster, and give you a more slimlined look, instead of the somewhat rounded body you have now. And besides, this metal i created, Epsilon, is harder than a diamond, so you won't have to worry too much about taking a beating."
--------------------
Meanwhile, outside...
A shady figure in a cloak walked up to the window, and waited his chance, a round ball in his hand.
--------------------
Astros finished typing, and walked over to Destinos and removed the mind from the android. He moved over to the prototype, a slim, golden body, and inserted the brain into it. The mechine began to boot up, making occasional beeps as it did a system diagnosis while it activated each part. "it is a little better looking, i suppose." Destinos said, looking around at his new body after it finished booting up. "I see you added a few new tricks. I'll have to try them out sometime." He had no idea that sometime would be sooner than expected...
------------------------
the figure tossed the ball through the window, running away until he took cover behind a large rock.
-------------------------
Astros looked to his left as a crash drew his attention, and his eyes widened as he recognised an advanced bomb was sitting on the floor of his lab. He started running, obviously trying to get away.
Destinos also noticed the bomb, and began running as well, alongside his friend Astros. As they neared the door, it exploded, covering the world in a bright white light.
--------------------------
The observatory glew white as the bomb went off, and the shady figure smiled. "That's for turning me in, you should have known i would track you down and blast you."
----------------------------
In the wreckage of the building, A gold, slimlined mechine lay there, one hand moving, then the other, until it stood again. "Whew, a blast like that and not even a scratch, I would say this Epsilon metal is tough."
Astros, sadly, was not in Epsilon, and so was knocked much further from the explosion, rocketing off a cliff and into a rock wall, which broke all of his bones on impact. When he fell to the ground, he lost consiousness.
-----------------------------
"What?" the cloaked man said, looking over at the mech which remained, not even a scratch on the shiny surface. He stood, and continued running, hoping not being spotted.
