Inari blinked when she saw a Vulpix limping past. She knelt down and beckoned it over. "You hurt your paw, little one?" The Vulpix whimpered and Inari gently put her hands on the injured paw and fused the bone back together. "There you go." The VUlpix nuzzled her and walked off, good as new.

"That's odd. I've never seen Umbreon in the mountains," Inari said. "THen again, I haven't been at this very long..."

"Blue eyes. It probably can't hear us. I learned that from Yorshri who learned it from Kiki. Eevee born with blue eyes are highly prone to deafness."

"Apparently, Kiki has an Umbreon and Espeon that have a high rate of having pups that are blue-eyed and/or deaf. I don't know much about it since I've never met Kiki, but according to Yorshri, it's true. It just doesn't happen often."
The Umbreon walked to Inari and sniffed her. When she moved to pet it, it hid behind a rock.

"I wish there were a way to make it understand us," Inari said. The Umbreon sniffed Akel'tri and the net'lon patted its head. Inari raised an eyebrow.
"Valacians are much more intune with nature than most." Akel'tri's voice startled the Umbreon and it hid behind the rock again. "Huh. THat was odd."
