A techni-colored beam went flying through the air, toward a wild Charmander, hitting it straight in the stomach.

Char! it cried out, flying backward onto some soot & ash. It seemed to be raining that all day, & Emily, the trainer, had to keep brushing it off of her head, glasses & bag.

Go, Pokeball! A red & white ball went flying into the air, toward the injured & weakened fire type Pokemon. It slightly hit it's head, opening up & capturing it in red before absorbing it into the ball itself. One movement. Two movements. Three movements showed the Pokemon trying yo escape. But then it paused, Emily holding her breath.

Kazam said the Phsycic Pokemon. He held up one spoon, & his eyes went blue. The Pokeball went into the air, & slowly levitated to the trainer. I think you caught it said the super-computer Pokemon.

Yes, yes, yes! she jumped into the air a couple of times before throwing her arms around Kazam. Thank you! She had been battling & capturing Pokemon for two years now, yet she was still like a school girl, always thanking her Pokemon, even when thanks wasn't needed.

No problem the Pokemon laughed as Emily repealed her-self from the Pokemon.

And you should get a good rest, too she added. She picked out his Pokeball from her belt & held it up. Return, Kazam! Red surrounded the Pokemon as it, too, was absorbed into it's Pokeball. There we go Emily said, clipping the Pokeball back onto her belt.

When do I get to battle? A voice soft & clear made the trainer turn he head instantly to her grass-type Pokemon Maganium, or better known as Flower.

I've told you already Emily explained. This is a fire-type terrain. Grass types like you wouldn't last long in a battle with a fire type.

But I'm also a Poision type Flower said, walking over to her trainer from her resting place. I could use my Poision type moves to defeat them.

Yes, but you only have one Poision type move. Remember? Emily now had her hands on her hips, her head cocked at her Pokemon.

Yes, I know said the grass type, her head lowered now as she played with the dirt & ashes under her feet.

Now let's move on Emily said, & turned around & began walking, her first Pokemon close behind as they walked up the volcano's side, getting closer to the top.

{My character Leafeon is a human girl, not the Pokemon}

"Let's rest here, Cheri." Leafeon said to her Eevee. They both sat down on the hard ground. "Maybe it was a bad idea coming here. I know you wanted a challenge, though."
"Mwee!" Cheri said.
"My flute? Oh, right!" Leafeon took out her wooden flute and began playing a soft tune.

Hey Flower said, looking around curiously. Do you hear that?

Hear what? Emily asked, pausing. Then she hear it: someone playing a flute. Quickly, she grabbed a Pokeball from her belt. Come on out, Lilith! she said, & threw the Pokeball into the air. Out came an Umbreon. It's ears twitched a moment, she it's head looked back to it's trainer. Find the flute, Lil! Emily said to her Pokemon. Imdedently, the dark type lurched forward, her trainer & the grass type going after her.

Soon, they came upon a girl & her Eevee. How pretty mumbled the Umbreon. Slowly, she lurched forward, towards the new trainer.

Lilith? Emily whispered. Where are you goin? Lilith! But it was too late, for the Pokemon was sitting next to the trainer, listening quietly.

When Leafeon finished her song, she opened her eyes back up. Cheri was smiling at her while an Umbreon was sitting beside her. "Hi there," Leafeon said, patting the Pokemon on the head.

Lilith! Emily came walking over to her Pokemon, mad showing on her face. He smiled once before looking back at her Pokemon. You know better than to run off! she scolded her Pokemon, Flower finally coming behind her. Now, return to your Pokeball! She retrived the Pokemon's Pokeball & returned her before turning to the other girl. I am so sorry about that she said. But your insterment playing is very uniqe.

Flower seeed not to be listening very well, her gaze adrifted to her surroundings. The volcano seemed to have destroyed many trees in it's years of eurupting, for there where many dead trees & bushes. Boulders, although, seemed untouched. But most did have black on them from either ash or the lava tryin to burn them,

"Your Umbreon wasn't bothering me at all." Leafeon replied, "And thank you, I love playing the flute."

Emily nodded. So why are you out here? she asked the girl, looking around silently at the volcanic destruction.

[Leafeon]

"My Pokemon and I wanted a challenge. So we thought that walking along here would be hard. Here, you can meet my other Pokemon," Leafeon said, tossing out three Pokeballs.
"Venasaur!" Vine greeted.
"Beautifly!" Silver Wings said.
"Cleffa!" Dayo exclaimed.
"Cheri was the only one that wanted to do the walking. We need to get back into training soon." Leafeon laughed.

[Leafeon]

Suddenly, Leafeon felt a strange feeling inside. "Something's wrong..." she whispered. She looked up at the ones she just met, "I'm sorry, I'll be back soon."

Emily nodded as she siltenly watched & met the girl's Pokemon. They all look nice she told her. She practily jumped when she said something was wrong. Well, can I come?/b] she asked. Maybe I could help.

[Leafeon]

"That's alright, I don't want to drag you into this. It's probably nothing, but I'd better make sure." Leafeon said, picking up Cheri and running off. "I'll be back, though!"

Emily held up her hand to say something, but dropped it, deciding not to say a thing. She sighed & turned, heading back up the moutain, with Flower close behind, until they reched a sitting place not far from where they hade just been.

After her Pokemon were well rested, Leafeon went back to the volcano.
