A soft, floating melody glided softly on the air and wrapped around the trees. It clearly came from a flute and could be traced back to Ora, who sat in a tree, playing. She was totally absorbed into the music, paying no heed to the environment around her.

Below her, a small Chikorita sat, listening to the music, gently swaying her leaf in time.

Ora continued to play until she got to the last note, then held it until she ran out of breath, savoring the sweet tone.

"That was beautiful," the Chikorita said to her after she finished. "Where'd you learn to play like that?"

Ora jumped out of the tree, landing silently on the ground. "Years of practice," she said. "Also, that wasn't just my breath. I use a special kind of spiritual energy. It's just something I do automatically. I'm a High Priestess in the Council of Gods and Goddesses, so I know how to do it."

"Do you thi nk you could come with me and play that song for my mom? She's really sick and I think she'd like to hear it."

"Sure," Ora said with a nod. "I might also be able to heal her if I know what's wrong. I'm no expert in Pokemon, though, but 2500 years of experience tends to come in handy."

"Maybe," the Chikorita said. "She's still pretty young for a Meganium. I don't think she's sick because she's too old."

"Lead the way."

The young Chikorita nodded and began walking toward her home. She parted a leafy cover when they got there. 'Here we are. My mom's home and mine."

Ora ducked down under some branches to get in, then sat down to try to avoid taking up too much space as she looked around.

"Here's my mom's room," the Chikorita said, pulling aside some leaves with her vines.

Ora scooted over that way, not really caring if her clothes got dirty or not.

The Chikorita held the 'door' open. Inside, the weak Meganium lay, the petals around her neck faded.

That really doesn't look good, Ora thought, her eyes turning light purple with sympathy.

The Meganium looked up at Ora. "Hello. Has my Tinna brought another visitor to try and heal me?"

"Hello." Ora dipped her head. "She heard me playing my flute in the woods and thought you'd like to hear it." The combination of the Melody of Nature, the Lyric of Sun, the Silence of Eternity and the Harmony of Wings would probably help, Ora thought, looking at her flute. Perhaps the Serenade of Rain and Serenade of Hope would too.

"I haven't heard the sound of a flute in too long. If you would be so kind."

Ora nodded. I hope this helps. She put the flute to her lips, starting with the Serenade of Rain, a gentle melody, then added bits of the Lyric of Sun, an almost militaristic march, but the snippets blended beautifully. On top of that was a descant-like melody, the Melody of Nature, high but sweet and pleasing to the ears.

The Meganium closed her eyes, listening to the sounds of the flute. "Truly beautiful."

Ora smiled slightly and continued to play. As she did so, a light mist came up and the sun shone through the clouds and small flowers began to bloom as did trees.

The Meganium felt a ray shine down on her. "Wh-what is this?" The full color of her petals began returning and she felt her strength returning as well.

Tinna looked in. "Mom? Mom! You're all better."

Several more minutes passed and Ora dragged out the last note as she had before, then opened her eyes and smiled.

"What did you do," Tinna asked. "You made my mom all better somehow. What was wrong with her?"
