Javen groaned. "I don't know... Maybe I just don't listen. ... Duff always tells me he understands his Pokemon. Aaand I've never believed him."
Duff stuck his tongue out, grinning at the same time.

"It's actually abnormal to not be able to understand them," Sam said. "If you can't understand them, then you're not that great of a trainer."

Javen looked down and said nothing.
Duff shrugged. "I don't know. I mean, I do only have four Pokemon, but I've been a trainer for years. But Javen's only been a trainer for a few weeks. I actually helped him get his first Pokemon, a Torchic."

"Oh, right, duh. Hey. Sam, right? Where's a cool place to train?"

"Right here, I suppose. If you're training, it won't hurt anything. So long as you don't try to capture any other Pokemon. This lake is sacred and..." Sam stiffened and turned around. A Suicune stepped out of the shadows and Sam fell to her knees. "Lady Fele."

"Rise, priestess." Sam slowly got to her feet, shaking. Fele smiled. "I see you've looked long and hard for a chance to meet a Pantheon member. I've watched over you for some time. You've kept yourself innocent for the most part and pure. You've done well in the past years of doing so and have remained true to yourself. I'm proud of you, Priestess." Sam nodded, unable to say anything at the goddess' praise.

Fele smiled. "You can stand, Duff." She bowed her head to all of them and Sam's eyes widened more.

Duff jumped to his feet and stood next to Javen. Pippy looked back-and-forth between Sam and Fele, grinning.

Sam and Fele conversed for a few minutes in an ancient language until the goddess stopped and looked up and sighed. "Fare well, Priestess. May the winds of fortune blow upon you. And you." She nodded to Javen and Duff before disappearing.
