Marci sat next to Lake Eternity, her fingers in the water. She currently looked thirteen and had sandy hair and hazel eyes, wearing a purple plaid shirt and jean capris. She'd gotten away from the ghost town because two Mightyena packs and a Houndoom pack had had a dispute over territory and she had to play peacekeeper. She figured they'd be all right for a couple of hours while she got away for some peace.

Kenji smiled as he walked along the path with his wife.

Nozomi rested her head on Kenji's shoulder as they sat down on a bench, she sapphire sweeping his cheek. Kenji smiled and put an arm around her shoulder. It was great to get out of the house together once in a while. Kenji kissed her head. "How are you feeling?" "Much better, I'm glad the morning sickness passed."

Marci looked over, sensing them. I'm pretty sure his name's Kenji. She sighed when she sensed Nozomi's pregnancy. It's been so many years since my first and last child...

Nozomi smiled and held Kenji's hand. "I wish we were able to do this more often." "I'll make more time. I wont train as much if you want.

"You don't have to, Kenji." Kenji didn't say anything. "Something bothering you?" "It's just when I was growing up my father was always so focused on his training that he barely spent any time with us other than when we were practicing together. I don't want us to be like that." "Did you ever tell your father how you felt?" "No. My mother made me hold my tongue, telling me that he always trained to protect us." It didn't help much in the end...Mom still died. She was brought back, but it's not the same...

I know what you mean, Marci thought to herself, sensing Kenji's thoughts. Magnus always fought to protect me... Even though I went through that first war so young, he always tried to get me to stay at home...

"Can I get you anything?" Kenji asked as he heard his wife's stomach growl. "A pretzel? With cheese." Kenji smiled. "Sure." He got up.

She stood up and used the tree to support herself. "Most aren't painful; they're just painful to remember."
