Rosa nodded and picked up the phone in Remiel's room, dialing. SHe started talking to Sabriel's mother in a different language. The conversation lasted only a couple of minutes, then she hung up. "She'll be here in a couple of minutes."

A woman with white hair that was undeniably Sabriel's mother was standing there. Worry was plastered all over her face. "Where is she?" She was doing well at controlling the anxiety in her voice.

She walked in, scooping Sabriel into her arms and murmuring in the language she had talked to Rosa in.

Sabriel's mother blinked and her eyes flared with anger. "He did what...?" she muttered as she continued to hold Sabriel.
