Miki shut her mouth and looked at the ground.
Babies? Zaylee thought. She had always wanted to be with Xanth, ever since they were children. A family? Was that even possible? Most importantly would they live through this to even be able to start thinking about it?

Hazira smiled as she looked at a small handful of the orbs, all different colors. "This is good," she muttered to herself and put them in the small pouch with the others, then tied the pouch around her waist.

Miki smiled and took one of the rabbits. "Smells good."

"Yeah, they do," I said, "but a little too familiar. Fox demons like me eat rabbits all the time." I smiled taking one and taking a bite. "Doesn't mean we don't enjoy them, though."
