She nodded. "Yep."

"A little odd, but if it's what you like, then go for it."

She nodded. "I love the moon."

"The moon makes waterbending stronger."

"Dunno what you mean by that, but I just like it."

"You know how the moon causes the highest tides when it's full, right?"

"Waterbending must be like Water magic, then, since Water gets stronger with the phases of the moon."

Kuruk nodded, then pulled water out of the water vapor in the air, forming a ball of water in his hand. "This is a very high level of water bending to get it from the air, but after that, it's very basic."

"Oh, that's really easy." She swung down out of the tree and pulled a large amount of water out of the air. "It's one of the first techniques I learned."

"For waterbenders, it's a master level technique. Well, it's not the most difficult move. There is one more difficult that regular waterbenders can only use during a full moon. It's not pretty, but it's a lifesaver in a desperate situation."

She nodded and let the water dissipate. "For magic users, it's one of the first techniques we learn since we can't make water out of nothing. It'd go against the laws of magic conservation."

"The ultimate waterbending technique is known as bloodbending. Also nicknamed the Puppetmaster. As it's name suggests, it takes control of the liquids inside another person's body, putting them under the bender's control like a puppet. It's a technique I've never had to use and hope I never have to. But while it's a demented technique, it could potentially be used to save someone's life."

"That would be among forbidden spells on the system I learned."

"That's why it's considered dark waterbending. Because of it's nature, it's seen as pure evil, but... well imagine someone were suffering from a heart attack. A clot was keeping the blood from going through. With bloodbending, you could give it an extra push to remove the clot. A dark technique with a good side."

She nodded. "That's what Light magic is for, though."

"Waterbending has a light side to it as well. Aside from that one situation for bloodbending, waterbending can be used to heal, as well. Sad to say I never was good at that."

"That's interesting. I've never really heard of using Water for healing."

"I'm not a master healer, but next time someone's hurt, I can show you how it works."

She nodded. "That'd be useful. I could try to show you some of the other magics we have here. Like Moon magic or something."

"It sounds like it would be easiest to start learning that during the full moon."

"Really, night in general. It is easiest during the full moon, but that would take another three weeks."

"That's true. Well, since it's morning now, how about I show you how to heal with waterbending? I don't need to actually heal with it to demonstrate how it works."

She nodded. "Sure."

He formed the water above his hands around his hands. "This is the most common method, known as watery gloves. You make the water enter the wounded area and stimulate the injured person's chi paths. Opening them allows the energy to flow to where the healing is needed and usually heals them right away or at least speeds it up. It's not perfect, though. It can't heal everything."

He followed along behind her, deciding to use airbending to jump from tree to tree for a little fun.

She smiled and swung through the trees. After a while, they came to Lake Eternity.

Kuruk jumped from the tree out over the water, slowing himself and coming to a gentle stop on top of the water.
