Lucas went nuts when he saw the play room, racing around to look at everything. Daniel smiled, holding Namika.

John returned around two in the afternoon.

Daniel was standing on the beach, watching over Namika as she played in the sand. Sora and Lucas investigated the tide pools.

He blinked. "Hm? Oh. I guess I just miss my home." He meant the one in Porta Vista with his mom. There was clearly more than that, though.

He sighed. "Being here is just kinda bringing up mixed memories from my childhood. I spent most of my childhood in Porta Vista with four siblings as you know. We were basically poor, Mom barely able to make ends. I saw all of the rich kids and wished to be like them, having an easy life. But they always teased me. I envied the big houses hey had and the maids and such. I envied but hated them." He covered his face with one of his hands. "I know this probably isn't making much sense."

"It makes perfect sense. I wanted to get out of this life, to be able to do things for myself. I just couldn't tell anybody that, besides Nana of course. I only stayed because I had nowhere else to go."

He nodded. "Whereas I wanted to have people do everything for me since I had to take care of my siblings, being the oldest." He shook his head. "It's ironic, thinking about it now. I frankly hated rich people and I married you. I know you hated the lifestyle, but you know what I mean."

He shook his head. "No contact with the outside world. But they do make exceptions for professors. I'll at least wait until the twins are born, though; I'm not going to miss that for the world."
