A Place To Think: Open

Anaya couldn't think anymore. Her 'family' was loud, obnoxious, troublesome, and not to mention rude. She'd just told Missy that she was leaving and that she'd be back later, and she'd just nodded and returned to caring for the kids.

Anaya had once been the youngest of the family, but multiple adoptions since had resulted in her being one of the oldest. Didn't matter now, anyway. She plopped down onto one of the couches, looking around quietly.

It was obvious that she was a Cherrim pokemorph. But... She changed to overcast mode, and it wasn't so obvious. Golden hair changed to black, pink clothes changed to purple, bright eyes changed to a darker shade of green. She sighed, leaning back and staring at the ceiling. She was so much calmer like this... she'd never be able to do this at home. Whenever she went overcast at home, everyone was in her space, wanting to know what was wrong.

Now it was just time to relax and be herself.

Remiel sat in one of the cushioned chairs by the towering windows. He was surrounded by books off an odd subject for a male to be reading, pregnancy books much like What to Expect When You're Expecting. He closed his green eyes as he slouched down in the chair, running his slightly tanned hand through his blond hair. He felt so alone though he was far from it, somebody was always with him. Alex....when will you come home...?

Anaya blinked, stretching. She'd been there for a while now, long enough for her headache to go away. She remained in overcast mode. She peered around the library, wondering if anyone there would be willing to speak to her. As that thought ran through her mind, her dimmed eyes landed on a young man in a chair by the window, and just the title of the book that he was reading caught her eye. "I'm guessing you're gonna be a dad, right? Congrats."

[/color] Her smile grew, though in overcast form is seemed slightly lopsided, more natural.[/center][/size][/blockquote]

Remiel opened his tired eyes. "Hm...?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you. I was just congratulating you, I guess."

[/color] She had noticed that she was a lot less bold in this form. She liked that. She liked being able to think before she acted. [/center][/size][/blockquote]

Remiel nodded, rubbing his eye. His mother had told him that the first few months were going to be rocky, but this was ridiculous. He was constantly yawning while he was teaching, falling asleep while he tried to grade homework assignments. He was just glad it was spring break for the schools. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment as his hips hurt again.

She blinked, looking at him in concern."Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, just some growing pains," Remiel said, sitting up a bit.

[Tsuki~!]

Growing pains? She hadn't heard that one since Lau was like, ten, and they were still in the lab. "Well, are you alright? Is there anything I can do to help you?" He had looked highly uncomfortable. Realizing exactly how great a mood being able to sit and think had put her in, Anaya couldn't help blooming back to sunny-day form. Her hair lightened to gold, eyes to emerald, and clothes to pink. "I'm sorry. I'm... in a good mood."

Remiel nodded. "I'm fine," he said, putting the book to the side.

She nodded, smiling. "Alright. I'll leave you alone, then... I'm probably bothering you." She laughed, a jingling, happy sound when she was in this form. She bowed politely, returning to the couch she'd been on earlier, picking up a random book on childrearing on her way back over. Might as well use the time to learn ways to help Missy, right?

Remiel looked out the window. Alex....when will you come home...? I have to tell you...

Anaya bit her lip again, glancing back at the other guy from the corner of her eye. He did -not- look like he was happy. And she knew from experience that it wasn't one of those 'woke up on the wrong side of the bed' unhappies. There was something wrong. She stood up, holding her place in her book as she walked back over, standing for a second. "Are you... sure you're alright? Cause you don't look it." She said softly, following his gaze out the window.

"I just...Miss my husband. He's always off at work and I rarely get to see him. I'd visit by I can't fly."

[Tsuki~!]

Getting to the root of the issue made her smile. If all the signs she was seeing was right, he was the pregnant one, right? Right... That'd explain the pregnancy books, and his husband... Hm... She grinned. "Well... I haven't done my good deed for the day, and I really, really wanna help you, and almost ninety percent of my family -can- fly... I could try to get one of my siblings to take you. If you wanted, of course... I don't wanna force anything. But trust me, there's nothing a big group of pokemorphs can't do." She laughed at herself, clasping her hands behind her back and rocking back on her heels.

Remiel smiled a bit. "That's nice of you to offer, but I doubt your family can fly that high. I just can't fly myself, it's too much stress on my body to have my wings out." He looked at her as wings quickly sprouted from his shoulder blades before disappearing. "Alex works in the Heavens, part of the Seraphim counsel. I'm only a guardian, like my mother, so even I can't visit him."

[Tsuki~!]

She scowled, sighing. "Damn." Once that word left her mouth, her eyes snapped open, and she immediately went into overcast mode. "I am so, so, so sorry! It just slipped out..." She buried her face in her hands, then looked up. "Well, I still have to do my good deed for the day, so... wanna go get an ice cream or something? Ice cream always makes me feel better when I miss someone." She was grasping for straws now, trying to find any way to cheer him up.

Remiel smiled. "That sounds great."

[Tsuki~!]

She blinked, then a big smile spread across her face. She let out what would bee considered a victory cry, earning a resounding "SHHH!!!" throughout the library. She laughed quietly, looking back at him. "What's your name?" She asked, rocking on her heels again.

"I am Remiel Deangelo," he said standing up and bowing politely.

She bowed back, grinning. "My name is Anaya. I don't have a last name." Well, she did, but she wasn't supposed to remember it, so it didn't matter much. "It's an honor to meet you, Remiel. And now that we're through the introductions, where's the best icecream joint in town, hm?" She wasn't allowed around like this often, so she had no idea.

"The Delcatty cafe is a great place for anything."

She nodded, smiling. "Hey, I actually know where that is! Let's go, then." She said, clapping her hands softly before turning towards the door and looking over her shoulder at Remiel.
