"You could say that. As opposite as they are, they can't be far apart for long," Kayan said.

"Aw, that's cute." She laughed. "What about you, Kayan? Do you have a special someone?" She asked, making a suggestive winking motion when she looked at her.

She shook her head. "Imro and I are close, but not romantically involved." She looked at the sky, blushing a little. "Truth be told....I kinda prefer girls..." She was just saying that and not making any sort of indication that she liked Tsuki.

She nodded, smiling. "I don't really know what I like. I've never been in a romantic relationship." She laughed at herself.

She nodded. "Yeah. There was this one boy in the tribe I dated for a while, but I didn't feel anything with 'im."

She moved forward to once more stick her feet in the water, letting out a slight squeal when it was colder than she remembered. "I guess I'd give anyone a chance, if I cared about them enough. I just haven't had the chance yet." She said, chuckling.

She looked back over her shoulder at Kayan. "What about Imro? Does -he- have a significant other?" Tsuki was fond of the airbender, though she wasn't sure it could go romantically. Maybe it was just his calming presence that she liked.

She shook her head. "He's always just kinda been off on his own. The only love of his life is meditation and trying to get to enlightenment. Which means he's sworn off the pleasures of the world if you get my drift."

She laughed, nodding. "Airbenders." She said, as though that explained everything. Then she hopped out of the water, taking a pose that was common among beginner Airbenders. "I can do barely anything, but it'll move, if I try." She said, successfully creating a slight breeze with a grin.

She raised a brow. "You can do more than one kind of bending? I thought only the Avatar could."

She chuckled. "That's why I suck at it. That's all I can do. I never told Angela that I was a water bender, and she insisted on beating airbending into me... I was with her for six years, and she was convinced I was a lost cause. I'm no Avatar, to my knowledge. But I got to thinking about that... My father wasn't from the same world as my mother. Maybe that has something to do with it?" She really didn't know.

Tsuki looked at the water again, then scowled. "Man, having my mind cleared with that meditation is making me feel bad for throwing Cinder outside. I don't have a clue where he went, but I'll need to apologize to him later." She said, plopping down on the ground to lay with her arms behind her head.

She stood up and started bending the water around, practicing.

Tsuki just laid out in the sun for a while, eyes closed and thinking. It was probably twenty minutes later, she rolled over, looking at Kayan. "You're an excellent waterbender, Kayan." She said, smiling and chuckling. "My mother wasn't even as good as you. I can do parlor tricks, but that's about it. You're just amazing."

She blushed a little at the praise. "Thanks. I could teach you to be a better bender if you want."

She laughed. "You'd be taking on a difficult pupil. I'm a bit hard-headed." She laughed again, sitting up.

"Point taken." She said, standing up and brushing herself off. "Okay, Master, how do we do this?" It was a long standing thing that Angela had started - anytime someone started teaching her something, she referred to them as Master. She didn't know why she still did it.

"You don't have to do that," she said. "But anyway. Basics." She started teaching in a gentle manner that was easy to understand.

She smiled, finding that she liked Kayan's voice as much as she liked Imro's. The way Kayan was teaching made it easier, though she still struggled with some things.

She took note of when she saw her struggling and slowed down to go more in depth. "Here." SHe took Tsuki's wrists gently into her hands. "Bring your hands closer together and you'll protect your center better. And don't force it. Water is not about force; it's about following the flow and being smooth." She knew Tsuki likely already knew that, but felt it couldn't hurt to gently reinforce it.

Tsuki nodded, biting on her lip to keep her concentration. She took a few deep breaths, then redid the sequence that they'd been working on, keeping her hands closer together like Kayan had said. The larger the amount of water, the harder time she had. Her expertise was and always had been projectiles. She could shoot a water-ball several hundred feet and hit a two inch target. But this, the more complicated stuff, she had to try. She focused in on Kayan's voice, closing her eyes and trying again.

"Thing is, it's not really a short time. I've been waterbending since I was like, five, and I still can't do this." She said, sighing and opening her eyes, though she didn't stop the movements that Kayan was telling her.

"No... My mother never really taught, but just showed me stuff and I tried to imitate her. And Angela... she was an Airbender, but she was more likley to hit me over the head with a ruler for breathing wrong. She was a wonderful person, but not the gentlest."

"You say that now, but once I start doing the same mistakes over and over and over, even you'll wanna hit me." She laughed, the water she was practicing with quivering at the sound.
