Trading Gossip

[Blade]

Jack nodded. "I assumed she wouldn't choose that life. But if she ever did, it would suit her well."

[Kiki]

She stretched and yawned. "It is quite late... Can we head back to the church so I may rest even if you do not wish to?"

[Blade]

"Is it at the church where you can only find rest?" Jack asked, "Because if that is the case, this arrangement will have yet again reached new depths of my disfavor."

[Kiki]

"It is my home as I am the head priestess there. But you have not to worry about Mother or Master Sandu looking down upon you. While it is a holy place, it is a place for all to be accepted no matter what they have done. Religious, spiritual or not, it is just meant as a place of rest and peace for all who enter." She yawned again, her eyes drooping. Using the Biter had clearly taken a lot out of her. She was inisiting on the church because she didn't really like to go anywhere else to sleep save for the temple under Lake Eternity, but that was the last place she wanted to take the Ciscoes because of its air of pure peace.

[Blade]

Jack sighed. "Very well, we'll go there this time." He got up, the girls following suit, "We would usually have rented a room at the nearest inn."

[Kiki]

"There are very few hotels in this city as most stay with their friends or at the church." She started to lead them toward the church.

[Blade]

"You say few, but that only means there are some." Jack said. "But regardless, we shall allow you to become used to our ways over your own time."
"We're not going to make allowances for you. It's your mission to follow us and keep an eye on us, not the other way around." Chris said.

[Kiki]

"I am well aware. I just need to stay there at least tonight to commune with Master Sandu on certain matters."

[Blade]

Jack looked at her oddly. "Well, we'd better get moving. The church is about thirty minutes from here on foot, and we'll need as much sleep as we can get. It's an early morning tomorrow."

[Kiki]

She offered him a hand. "I can teleport us there. It will take but a moment."

[Blade]

Jack shook his head. "No. We're going to walk. And if you're going to do your job, that means you're going to walk, too."

[Kiki]

"Very well. I know some shortcuts that will cut the time in half."

[Blade]

Jack seemed to be suspicious, but nodded anyway. "Lead the way."

[Kiki]

She bowed to show her respect for allowing her to lead, then started walking.

[Blade]

Jack and the twins followed, sweeping their range of vision for any possible hazards.

[Kiki]

She led them through the city and they reached the church in ten minutes.

[Blade]

"Not bad." Jack conceded.
Chris and Kelly smiled a little.

[Kiki]

"I know my way around," she said, just stating a fact. SHe bowed and led them inside, slipping her shoes off and putting slippers on. "If you would, please remove your shoes in respect. I am learning to respect the way you do things, so would you kindly return the favor?" Her tone was kind and she was smiling, clearly glad to be back in the church. "I can completely assure you that absolutely no harm can come to you here. Spells around the building forbid and stop any sort of violence."

[Blade]

The trio removed their shoes.
"Where should we bunk?" Jack asked.

[Kiki]

"This way." she led them to a door and opened it, revealing a lavishly decorated wing. "Most rooms are empty. The ones that are in use are clearly marked by name plates. If you are in need of anything, feel free to ask any of the Pokemon here." She bowed. "I must go to commune with Mother and Master Sandu. Please excuse me." She walked off, her long black hair swishing behind her.

[Blade]

"We're heading out at seven sharp." Jack called after her, "Don't be late. I wouldn't want you to fail your mission because you overslept." Jack then walked down the hall, picking the first unoccupied room he came across.
The twins took the next one over, and waited for Insyo to return.

[Kiki]

A Vulpix with an opalescent coat was on the bed in Jack's room, clearly having fallen asleep there. "She won't be late, but you won't see her for the rest of the night." She stretched and jumped off the bed. "Sorry 'bout being in here. I was just tired from working all day, so I laid down for a quick snooze. I'll leave now." She headed for the door.

[Blade]

"Wait." Jack said, "If this room is in use, I can find another. Were you, whether I entered or not, going to leave this room at any time in the near future?"

[Kiki]

"Yeah. I just needed a quick nap. I have my own room, but it's far from here. It was just a one-time thing."

[Blade]

"Alright. Then I will use this room." Jack said, entering and shutting the door behind him.

[Kiki]

The next morning about six the next morning, a Shinx knocked on the doors of the rooms the trio were staying in.

[Blade]

"Yes?" Chris was the first to answer, followed closely by Kelly. They were both in their pajamas, having gone to bed after it was fairly obvious Insyo would not be returning.
Jack then opened his door, fully dressed and appearently ready. "This had better be good."

[Kiki]

"Are you hungry?" the Shinx asked. "Word says you want to be otu of here by seven sharp, so I figured I would ask if yoou were hungry."

[Blade]

Jack chuckled, then glanced over at the girls. "See, this is the kind of person I like. No extra crap, just gets to the point." He looked back to the Shinx, "What have you got?"

[Kiki]

"Come to the dining room and you can choose."
