Jack shrugged. "Huh. Nothing we can do about that. Oh well, back to work." The trio wandered further into the forest, continuing to drop any aggressive forces.

A Pokemon that looked like a wolf approached. "Stand down," she said calmly. "You're only making things worse."
"That is right." Insyo appeared with her Helbean behind her.

"And you," Jack said, calmly but coldly, "Are getting in the way of a contract." He raised his pulse gun, pointing it at Insyo, "Which gives me more than enough reason to shoot you where you stand."
The twins took aim as well, one at the wolf and one at the helbean.
"Move aside, I really wouldn't want to have to harm civilians." Jack said. "I'll drop every beast in this forest if I have to in order to assure my client that she's safe."

A Suicune appeared, looking calm and cool, but anger burning in her eyes. "You three are going to leave," she said coolly.

Jack drew a second pulse gun, pointing it at the Suicine. "We're not going anywhere. We've been paid to secure the area, and you can be sure we're not leaving until it's done. Now, all of you have exactly three seconds to get out of our way." Jack inwardly shook his head. He really did not wish to harm noncombatants, but if this continued, he would have to in order to complete the job.
(So, their equipment at the moment:
Jack - Pulse handgun x2
Chris - pulse rifle
Kelly - Pulse handgun
Thought I should make it clear what they had.)

"Sakala, go and tell the others to calm down," the Suicune said. "tell them none that are coming here or live near here wish them any harm." The Ginala, the wolf Poekmon, nodded and ran off. She looked at Jack. "I am Fele, Goddess of Water Pokemon. What you are doing is wrong. Violence on this land is forbidden. The Pokemon are upset because of the shift in good and evil. Things will calm down soon. All of the Pokemon in this wood are under my command and I have told them to calm down. It will take a few hours, but all will be well after that."

"Heh," Jack chuckled, "Right and wrong is meaningless. Both sides of the same war believe they're right, and it's only through violence that the truth is made clear. Also, calling me wrong doesn't help me want to do you a favor and trust you with no guarantee." Jack lowered his guns. "Ah, whatever. I'll leave. But, if you're lying to me and my employer gets attacked again, I'll come and drop every beast under this canopy permently, hostile..." Jack took a quick breath, "or not."

Jack just chuckled, "How many times have we heard that before, girls?" He asked over his shoulder.
"Plenty." Chris answered.
Jack turned and started away, calling over his shoulder. "Just keep your half of the contract, and I won't have to keep mine."
The girls followed him, meanwhile stepping over a raticate they'd previously downed.

Fele narrowed her eyes. "On sacred land," she growled. "The nerve of them...."
"Lady Fele, they are not residents of this city," Insyo said. Fele nodded and started to heal the Pokemon they had downed.

The trio continued walking, although they still held their weapons from the forest and were ready to turn and fire should she act aggressively.

She kept her hands behind her back and her body language calm. The Helbean, however, was tense, on guard, ready to draw the sword at his side should they attack.

The Ciscoes reached the club, and returned to their seats.
"So?" The employer asked.
Jack nodded, "A success. Although if you are attacked a second time, we shall return free of charge."

"A pest who as of yet has need to learn her place." Jack said, then sighed. "Appearently her intelligence is below that of a slowpoke, as I have already made my case clear several times to her that she'd better have ample reason for interfereing in our business." He faced her, talking somewhat slowly, "Go home."

You had best tread lightly in this town, nay, this world from now on. Master Sandu and Mother will be watching you," Insyo said to Jack.
She looked at the client. "I am Insyo, Mistress of Shadows and Darkness, Priestess to His Master Sandu, Lord of the Underworld and Master of Death. I followed him to make sure he did not do anything stupid."
She looked back at Jack. "ANd it is not your business alone. If you tread upon the holy grounds of the Forest of Eternity, it is my business. And you are now under my guardianship. Her High Lady Fele has put me up to watch you to make sure you do not pull a stunt like that again. I have never seen any stunt as foolhardy, blasphemous and degrading as that in nigh eighteen thousand years!"

Although her words were mean to invoke a sense of guilt, on Jack they were wasted. "Eighteen thousand years, huh?" He repeated, wearing a large grin. "Cool."
(Wasn't Insyo traveling with Natsu?)

She grabbed Jack by the shirt and slammed him against the wall. She had absolutely no fear of him because of being Sandu's daughter and priestess. "Upon this land, such an act will not be tolerated lightly. Master Sandu and Mother are not pleased. They have placed me to watch you over you three. I will be with you at all times and you will not be able to lose me."

Chris and Kelly chuckled, "What, us? Attack you? More like, us, defending ourselves from your aggressive behavior." Kelly grinned, "You launched the first attack. We're merely fighting for the safety of our group. If anyone has an issue with that- even this Sandu- they're biased facists."

"The best way to deal with a situation like that is to ignore the taunts. By brushing them off you hurt the taunter's pride by saying they're not worth listening to. However, since you have made the first strike, it doesn't matter what excuse you give. You had other options, and you chose to fight, so yes, we'll take this personally."
