"Gah, but what did she say?" Ingein thought about it. "I remember now! Metro, curl up tight. My body will treat you like a baby and form a shell around you. In other words, you'll become an egg, then I can get you out."

Within a few minutes, a solid shell had formed around him. Ingein squatted down and pushed hard, sliding the egg right out. She cracked the shell getting him out. "Mom told me that's a final preservation for a baby. Normal Lugia only lay an egg once every 50 years or so. In rare cases, when they go to sit to keep it warm, they line up wrong and break the shell. The underdeveloped Lugia won't survive long, so the mother will actually take the baby and push it back inside herself, where it'll curl up and a new shell will form around it, keeping it alive."

Ingein looked at the last egg. The shell began to crack and out came a little Lugia, a boy. "Seems he's a regular Lugia as far as anatomy, but he's smaller. Unlike me and our second born daughter, he won't have arms and wings. His arms will be his wings, and he'll probably rapidly grow to the size of a regular Lugia."
