A week after the Christmas party incident, Yumi and Fin's psychic bond grew even stronger. It became so strong, they could physically feel what the other was feeling.

Fin returned home from work, exhausted not from his missions but from having to deal with the scandal that happened the week before. His boss had been fired, banned from ever joining again, and everybody was scrambling to prove that they were suited to take his position.

"Well, I've practiced cooking," she said, hugging him. "I can't believe we've developed such a strong psychic bond already. We've already bonded to the point we can hear each other's thoughts and feel what the other person is feeling, both emotionally and physically. The only higher level is......I think I shouldn't say." Her mind easily gave it away to him, though.

Fin blushed, reading her thoughts. "I wonder how Ranger is doing. He quit the day after the party. It's a shame too, he was one of the best we've ever had."

"I don't know. For as long as he and I have been friends, I never could form a psychic bond with him." She sighed a bit. "After you're done eating, would you mind rubbing my feet? They're really sore."
