Uria smiled, brushing Lune. "Avery, was it?" he asked. "I know this may seem weird, but could I record you laying your egg? I'm a researcher and I don't think just watching it once will help me get the data I need."

"I promise. No one else will find out about it. They'll have to kill me before they take the recording." He smiled and resumed brushing Lune, working on her legs. He smiled and reached over between her legs, giving her a little tickle as he brushed.

Avery yawned and tucked her head under her wing. "Tired already, Ave?"
"You haven't carrid in a couple thousand years since Avon. You don't really remember what it's like to carry an egg," Avery said, not unkindly, but just stating fact. Lune nodded, a little subdued.
