"You can't do it alone. I have to use a special spell on them that only adult dragons can use. It'll makes the bracelets grow and shrink accordingly when you change between dragon and human forms." Escope got the bracelets. "The silver ones, you can take off." Elpe nodded and dropped the silver bracelets.

Escope slid the bracelets onto Elpe's wrists and ankles, then began chanting a spell that ended with a shower of white fire around Elpe. The bracelets shrunk so that they were secure on her ankles and wrists, but not restricting bloodflow. "The gold bracelets tell the world that you are a mature dragon, ready for a mate, should you find one."

"Of course," Escope said. "Except in the case that the parents are dead, a newly mature dragon must always show their parents any potential mates, or else the bracelets tighten, cutting off bloodflow, if they should try to mate."
