Some time later, Nirva had improved her water magic. She sat by the pond by herself, water floating lazily in the air, her mind clearly in a fog by something.

Vajra was sitting in a tree, looking at the sky. Eromi was leanign against another tree, eyes closed and arms folded.

"Eromi would be faithful to the end. That I'm sure of because he looks at the soul, not at appearance, meaning I'm free to have my wild appearance. But Vajra told me about magic and he'll actually compliment how I look. He helped me get dry when I first met him, turning a 4 hour job into a few minutes. That meant a lot. But I can't have them both." She stared out at the water. "If only you could give me a sign of who I should be with."

Vajra tossed a coin into the air and caught it, flipping it between his fingers. Eromi continued to not move.

Nirva sighed, looking down. "How can I possibly choose? I can't have them both, but whoever I don't pick, it'll break their heart. Which one wants me more? If only I knew that."

"It has not been easy for me to choose who I want to be with, but I have finally made my choice." She took a deep breath. "Eromi, you were the one who taught me I could be myself out here and not have to follow what I was taught as a queen. Vajra, you are a very kind soul. You helped me get dried off in a few minuts when it would have taken hours and you helped me unlock my own magic potential. It hasn't been easy but... Eromi, I'm sorry. It just seems that Vajra and I have built a stronger bond."

He nodded. "My sister and I will be moving on soon, though, and will probably not return for some time. Just because of our nomadic lifestyle. Winter around this area is usually harsh, so we wish to leave before the weather turns for the worst."

Nirva nodded. "Then allow me to give you this as a parting gift as is custom in my kingdom." She gently placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "While it may seem strange to you, it is how one says goodbye to a dear friend in my kingdom."
