[Kiki]

Tawny soon found herself relaxed.

[Zappy]

Dante, ever the suspicious one, simply hadn't drank his. The rest of the group were clearly relaxed.

[Kiki]

"Dante, they won't hurt us. It isn't laced with poison or anything," Tawny said. The chief nodded.
"What have you come here for?"
Tawny sipped her drink again. "We are searching for friends. Samantha, Angelina and Asayi. Samantha is half angel, Angelina is her half twin sister, full human, and Asayi is half demon." She dug pictures out of her purse. "Have you seen them?"
"No, but the green eyes of this one speak of the Guardian's blood," the chief said.

[Zappy]

Dante shrugged, not drinking it.
"Who?" Anakin asked.

[Kiki]

The chief blinked, surprised. "We are not of this world. Excuse our callowness." Tawny bowed her head to him again.
"The Memory Guardian is one of the most well known figure in our world," he said. "She is always the one to seal Dynth into the abyss he always escapes from."

[Zappy]

Anakin nodded. "Okay."

[Kiki]

He nodded and Tawny yawned. The chief chuckled. "Apologies, young ones. The elixir is strong for those that have not drank it before. It can often put others to sleep."

[Zappy]

"And this is why we don't drink strange things," Dante hissed in Anakin's ear.

[Kiki]

Tawny looked at the chief and he nodded. "You can put them down if you wish," he said. "But no, I have not seen them." Tawny sighed. "I have not, but perhaps some of my villagers have."

[Zappy]

Anakin nodded.

[Kiki]

"Feel free to ask around," the chief said. "You are welcome here any time."
"Thank you, sir." Tawny bowed her head to him again and stood up, taking the pictures back.

[Zappy]

The group stood up.

[Kiki]

She headed into the village. A few hours later, she leaned against the tree, sighing. None of the villagers had seen them.

[Zappy]

"Well, this is just fucking peachy," Anakin said, kicking a tree.

[Kiki]

"It's not my fault," Tawny said. "I'm doing everything I can. But the next encampment isn't for another hundred miles or so. I don't think Sabetha can control where we land."

[Zappy]

"I guess we've got a hundred miles to walk."

[Kiki]

She sighed and the chief walked over, several horses following. "You need transportation the next camp? These horses will gladly carry you." The chief smiled and gave Tawny a necklace that had a strange symbol on it. "It will identify you as ally."

[Zappy]

Anakin nodded.

[Kiki]

"They can carry you two at a time. They are stronger than normal, so do not fear," he said. Tawny bowed deeply in thanks.

[Zappy]

Anakin shifted a bit, then also bowed deeply. The way Dante had raised him, he considered bowing to be submissive.

[Kiki]

The chief bowed back just as deeply to show his respect to them.

[Zappy]

He straightened up after a few minutes.

[Kiki]

Tawny was talking to the chief again. "Again, thank you," she said.
"To aid in the search for one of the Guardian's bloodline is the greatest honor we have ever had."

[Zappy]

The group nodded.

[Kiki]

Around sundown, the group reached the next encampment. Tawny showed them the necklace the chief had given her and a servant nodded. Suddenly, however, they were thrown out of the world and reappeared in Sabetha's living room.

[Zappy]

"What the hell?!" Anakin shouted.

[Kiki]

Sabetha was panting heavily. "Sorry... that took a lot out of me..." the sun was setting. She had clearly been holding the portal open all day.

[Zappy]

"I need to find Ki-Sam!"

[Kiki]

"Anakin, calm down," Tawny said. "Sabetha is about to pass out." The woman nodded, clearly using all her energy to stay awake. SHe passed out, however, and Tawny sighed. "Don't be angry at her. She probably had to use some of her life force to keep the portal open. Such a feat is no doubt extremely hard..."

[Zappy]

He stormed off, Dante following. Altair sighed. "Sorry about Aki..."
