A vast pool and a large ice field strewn with boulders made up the majority of the gym's floor. Tightropes were strung across the ceiling in a seemingly random manner. A blue-haired girl was hanging from one in a seemingly precarious manner as a Kabutops glared up at her along with a Lapras, Raich and Arcanine. A bright yellow Pidgeot dove at her and she swung to onto one of the trapeeze.

She smiled brightly. "Sweet! Well, as you can tell, I'm a bit different than other leaders. My da was a Pokemon Handler, so I learned a few tricks from him. If you want, you can try what I do. If not, that's fine. I don't expect my opponents to copy my style. I'm saying now that I'm gonna be on my companion's backs, but don't be afraid to attack. I've been through Hyper Beam, Aurora Beam, Blizzard, Thunder, Overheat.... Pretty much every attack. I can survive it."

Sprout jumped back, barely avoiding it.
"Poison Powder into the water, Sprout."
Sprout nodded and jumped up, spinning in the air.

Edina used Surf to blast Sprout back by several yards, the Poison Powder being completely washed away.

Edina dove beneath the surface, Seyn still on her back. "Don't get discouraged!" Baylee, Seyn's Bayleef, yelled to Sprout. It wasn't uncommon for Seyn's Pokemon to give the opponent encouragement. Seyn believed in being a good sport.
