Seyn yawned, tapping her pencil boredly.

Itsuki realized the teacher was asking him a question, and glanced at the blackboard to get a general idea of the question. He then answered the best he could.

Itsuki met her there, and pulled 'the notebook' from his locker, putting it into his bag. "Last class of the day." He muttered, halfway to himself.

She stretched. "Man, I wish I had battle strategy again..." She headed to her last class.

Itsuki attended his last class, excited to go home and test the notebook's abilities. When class ended, he was the first one out the door, and began heading toward his house.

Seyn stretched and smiled happily. "Yes! Now to go home and swim! Awesome!" She grabbed her stuff from her locker and ran home.

Itsuki reached his house and went inside, grabbing a small bite to eat. "Now, what to use..." He looked around, finding a cheap vase. "This'll do. Now, the book said I just had to touch the object to it..." He set the base on the notebook, and flipped through the pages. "Ah." He found the page with the vase's information. "Now, let's see how the notebook effects things." He changed the height in the notebook, and when he looked up, the vase had shrunk.

(Sure.) Itsuki stepped up the stairs, more confident with the notebook. There was no physical damage, even after I changed that vase several times. Now, I need to find a way to help someone with the notebook... As he was thinking, he ran into a girl. "Oh, sorry." "I... I'm okay." Her voice sounded raw. "You sure? It sounds like you have a cold." "No, this is normal." She said. "Alright, then..." Itsuki turned and started walking to class.

Itsuki sat down, and opened the white notebook by mistake. On it's pages, new data had appeared. "The girl...?" He muttered to himself, closing the notebook and swapping it for another one in his bag. Now's not a good time. If I get caught I'll have a hard time explaining it.

Itsuki gave his head a slight shake, before focusing on the class. He waited until lunch to study the white notebook's new data. Interesting. This kind of data, He was flipping the page back and forth, between Seyn and the other girl, whose name in the book was Gale. He was looking at the center left of each page, where on Gale's page, a word was written, while on Seyn's page, there was nothing. A special attribute this person was born with. He stopped the page flipping, taking the time to read the attribute. Diseased, huh? No wonder her voice sounded sick. She must've been sick all her life, and that's why it's 'normal'. But... If I erased this, would she recover? It makes sense. Seyn doesn't seem to have any chronic illnesses. He reached for his pencil, "Only one way to know for sure..." He muttered to himself.
(Now would be a great time for some interfereance on Seyn's part. If she hadn't already read what he was going to try, he'd have to explain it to her.)

Seyn glanced over his shoulder. She'd been standing behind him the whole time, but it was a specialty of her to be able to go unnoticed for lengths of time. "What are you doing?" She already knew the answer, but she wasn't sure if what he was doing was good or bad.

Itsuki jumped, caught by surprise. "Oh, don't just sneak up on people." He said, "And I ran into this girl earlier. Look at this." He showed her the difference between the pages. "It appears she's been born with disease, so I figure, if I erase this, she'll he able to have a normal life.."

"How do you know if she doesn't want to change? Some people born with certain ailments don't want to change."

"I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to be sick." Itsuki said, "And she sounded bad. In addition to sounding sick, she sounded like she was depressed." He glanced around, " Anyway, the notebook only has an effective range of three meters. The changes won't take place until she's in range, which means if I want to help her, I've gotta find her first." He got up, "Unfortunatly I have no idea where she is. Judging by the age, here," He pointed to the page, "I'd say she's second or third year." A new line of text appeared, with a number which decreased in an interval of one each second. "A countdown?"

Itsuki flipped to Seyn's page, and another much larger number was there, and functioned similarly. "Strange... It appears to measure seconds..." He flipped back to the girl's page, "But hers is a lot shorter." He did some calculations on the dropping number. "This appears to be three hours, maximum. But why is it here?" He suddenly sat up, appearently shocked. "Could it... really be?"

she blinked. "Could...that be a countdown to how long is left in our lives...?" she muttered.

"That's what I thought as well." Itsuki said, "But that would mean this girl has just under three hours remaining, hardly enough time for school to end." He grabbed his pencil, "If nothing else, I'm going to change this." He ran the eraser over the numbers, which were completely uneffected. "Wha...? I can't erase them? That means I can't change this. Even with this notebook I have nothing I can do..." Suddenly he shook his head again, "Perhaps this doesn't measure duration. Perhaps it measures life force. Which would mean... He swiftly erased the attribute from the notebook. "Sorry. I can't just let her die. If I'm correct, her life force is being drained at an incredible rate by this sickness. Which means that by removing the sickness, what would otherwise be drained would be abvailable for her body to use." He got up, "Now we have to find her, and get in range." The lunch bell rang. "Dang it! Not now!"
