Blade's Ranch

[Blade]

Slate looked at Mithos. "How are you able to tell so quickly what I am thinking?" To Blade and Kratos, "I should be leaving now. If I am away much longer, they may wonder where I've gone. I will return as soon as possible with information." He then passed them, and used the Hyrameki to dash foward.

[kratos]

"He just doesn't quite get who we are," Mithos said. "Well now," Mithos said, turning to Blade. "Krystal and I are going to head home. Stop by whenever."

[Blade]

"Right. I will drop by tomorrow. Even with my wounds healed, I am still tired from the fight." Blade sat onto his bed. "Oh!" The egg on his table began to bounce. "It's hatching! We need to get to a pokemon center!"

[kratos]

"No problem," Kratos said. "I'm a doctor of all fields. Pokemon and egg included. We can stay here."

[Blade]

"That's good."

(It hatches into my Fakemon, if you want to see what it is at the Fakemon dex. Just so you know.)

[kratos]

The egg began to glow. "This is normal," Kratos said. "Just let it do its own thing." The flash grew brighter, then receeded, revealing a newly hatched Kanthos. "I can't say I've ever seen one of those," Kratos said.

[Blade]

"Me either. I wonder what kind of skills it knows?" Just as he finished, it hiccuped, accidently casting Barta, which launched a small shower of sub-zero ice particles at Blade.

[kratos]

Kratos simply diverted them with a blast of wind. "Seems it can use ice."

[Blade]

"Yes, it must be an Ice type, although that move was unlike anything I've seen before." This time, it started crying, asking for food, and Zonde was unleashed, a bolt of lightning hurtling at Kratos.

[kratos]

Kratos swung and blocked the lightning. "Seems it has more tricks than we thought."

[Blade]

"Ice/thunder? That's a strange combinition..." Blade watched as the baby stood, and made a noise, as though it was trying to say something. "It seems to be trying to tell us something..."

Frustrated, Kanthos cast Resta, firing a white beam at both of them.

[kratos]

Kratos held out his hand and blocked. "I know how to handle this," Kratos said, slowly walking to it. He gently put a hand on its head and his hand began to glow. "It's hungry."

[Blade]

Blade was hit by the beam, although he didn't get any adverse effects. "I feel like I have more energy now." He said, then when Kratos said it was hungry, he commented, "I would think, after breaking that egg."
Kanthos, obviously happy they figured out it's hunger, opened it's mouth.
Blade asked Kratos, "What do we feed it?"
This wasn't what Kanthos wanted to hear, and it began to use Sacred Fire.

[kratos]

"Easy. Easy, easy." Kratos gently held the new Kanthos, trying to keep it calm. He gently put his hand on its head again.

ooc: What should I have him say it eats?

[Blade]

(Meat. That's it's diet from birth, then it starts to expand until it doesn't really care what it eats.)

"Wa... wasn't that... Sacred Fire? B... but only Ho-oh learns that move! Right?" Blade, obviously impressed by the display, was stammering as he realized the importance of his new pokemon.

[kratos]

"It was Sacred Fire," Kratos said. "I'll look into how it did that later. For now, get it some meat. That's what it wants. For the record, I know this because I'm reading its mind."

[Blade]

"I have some in the Fridge. I'll get it." When he pulled out the meat, the Kanthos stood and began to toddle over. "Hey, looks like it can learn to walk just after hatching!"

[kratos]

"Impressive," Kratos said.

[Blade]

The Kanthros lept, and snagged the meat from Blade's hand, gobbling the entire thing down whole. "Whoa! Wait, stop! That's dangerous!" Instead, the Kanthros finished, and then wobbled over to Kratos.

[kratos]

"Seems it's more developed at hatching than we originally thought."

[Blade]

"That I am." The Kanthros commented, as it sat by Kratos.
"It... just spoke." Blade said, watching Kanthros as it sat there, a smug look on it's face.
"Yes, and i'm not it. I'm called Kanthros."

[kratos]

"Well, this certainly is interesting, although I've seen stranger things. So, how exactly do you know Sacred Fire?"

[Blade]

"Ho-oh and Moltres are my parents. I get my movesets from them. Sacred Fire is just one of the moves I know." Kanthros commented, as it sat on the edge of the counter. It stood up, and began flying through the air.
"Well, it seems as though we have a extremely rare pokemon on our hands. I hope Team Phantom don't hear about it, at least until it has grown a bit."

[kratos]

"This doesn't seem right, to keep saying 'it'." He turned to the Kanthos. "Not to intrude on your privacy, but are you a boy or a girl?"

[Blade]

"Male." was the uninterested reply. It flew in circles, landing at the windowsill. "I wanna go out there!"
"No. It's dangerous out there." Blade's voice, ready to argue if he had to, was stern.

[kratos]

"I think I have a solution," Kratos said. He began to form a bubble around the Kanthos. "This bubble is made of pure chakra and unbreakable from the outside, but it allows owygen and carbon dioxide to pass like normal."

[Blade]

"Ha! You said OWygen. That's funny. I'd think someone with such power would be more grammitically correct." Kanthos teased Kratos.
"Kanthos, stop that, that's rude! You should be ashamed." Blade was appalled with Kanthos's treatment of Kratos. "Kratos, i think that will be an ok idea. Make it so attacks can exit the bubble. Then we can see what he can do."

[kratos]

Kratos nodded and allowed the bubble to let attacks out.

[Blade]

"All right, Kanthros, let's go." Blade and Kanthros moved out the door, into the sunshine of the day. "Kanthros, can you show me what you can do?"
"Well, you've already seen Sacred Fire, Zonde, Barta, and Resta. I have Deband, Foie, Sky Attack and Flamethrower left."

[kratos]

"Use me as your target," Kratos said. "Don't worry. You won't be able to hurt me easily."
