"You too, Aipom, then use Quick Attack." Aipom swung his tail, releasing a blast of stars, then dashed foward on a crash course for Umbreon.

"Wait for it, Umbreon." Umbreon stood still, but then used a swift Iron Tail when Aipom got close enough, sending it flying.

Aipom stood back up. "Heh, we've seen plenty of those before, haven't we?" Aipom nodded, then dashed foward again with Quick attack, this time ready to evade as well, until he got close, then he began with Double Hit.

"Well, then let's just follow along, huh?" Aipom lept into the hole in the ground, ready to attack with Double Hit. Blade didn't look worried by Aipom's disappearance.

Suddenly a bright light erupted from the holes, Umbreon and his clones using Flash.

Blade just smiled. He knew the move well. Aipom lept from the hole, his eyes closed. "We've seen that move enough to recognise when it's coming. Aipom was ready for it." It used Swift into the hole, causing an explosion.

Umbreon burst from the ground and used Return, releasing a powerful beam of energy.

Aipom landed, then used Last Resort to counter the Return. "That was a good try. Aipom, Take to defencive manuvers."

Umbreon nodded, his rings glowing red instead of their usual gold. He opened his mouth, spitting out flames.

Aipom jumped, the beanches of a tree above him. His tail grabbed onto a branch, and he launched himself out of the way of the attack. By that time, he had recharged, and he used Quick Attack to get in close, then Double Hit.

Aipom switched to swift, a special type move, which was not blocked by his opponent's Reflect. "Good, Aipom. You see Kenji, we've trained together for so long, and so hard, that we instantly know what each other is going to do in any situation."

Aipom dashed with Quick attack, getting as close as he could. He then used Last Resort at near-point blank range. Then he lept back, hoping to avoid attack.

Aipom twisted, barely evading the attack. He landed, and finished recharging. "This is getting nowhere, Kenji, let's use our best moves at the same time. Winner is last one standing." Blade suggested. "It'll make it more interesting."

"All right. We'll both launch our attacks. I have another pokemon I want to see this, would you mind if I release it? Either way, Aipom, get ready for Last Resort! I'll tell you when to launch the attack. Just prepare."

"All right, Giratina, watch this last move." He threw a pokeball, which was equipped with a contest stamp from sinnoh, which when it opened, it sprayed a cloud of black smoke into the air as Giratina appeared.
(I gave Kratos permission to roleplay Giratina out of battle, so he will be posting it's reactions and actions.)

"Because, it's going to be big. And, if you can begin to learn the moves of the other pokemon around here, you have that much more an advantage. Remember, not all the pokemon here are Tyranitar!" Blade mentioned his Tyranitar to Giratina, because that was the partner he had used in their duel, where he had caught the legend. "You know his moves already, if you learn the moves of your allies and your foes, you will become that much stronger. The only thing you need to do is watch."

Giratina nodded. Just as Blade finished his speech, Kratos appeared with Slate. "Well I'll be," Kratos said. "Mithos is here. Is he meditating?"

"yes-" Blade cut short as he noticed the figure beside Kratos. "Slate?" His voice was shocked, as he hadn't seen that figure since he left Sensei's Dojo. "what are you doing here?" He gasped as he realized what Slate was wearing - A Team Phantom uniform. "Why do you wear the uniform of Team Phantom? You couldn't possibly-" He was unable to continue, as Slate began talking. "I quit my training. We were at the same point in our training, and Sensei favored you! I have come to destroy you in a Hyrameki duel to the finish! And yes, i did join Team Phantom. Anything to complete my mission, which I am about to do!" He stepped foward, walking towards Blade. "And all your friends here can watch your demise. Although, I see you are in a battle. I will allow you to finish, as a final gift." His eyes shone as he thought about finishing what he had started so long ago. Blade was shocked. "I-I-It can't be! Hyrameki is to be used to stop evil, but you do evil with it! According to the code, I must accept your challenge." "Tsk Tsk Tsk, still following the code? I'm surprized!" Slate commented, then lept back to Kratos's side. "And you, Kratos," Blade began, "do you take the side of Team Phantom, too?" His mind's focus completely off the battle between Aipom and Umbreon.

"No," Kratos answered. "I follow my own path as this city's guardian." I know he cannot defeat you and once you defeat him, he will give up these evil ways, Kratos told Blade telepathically.

Are you sure about that, old friend? Blade thought, as he could not telepathically comunicate with Kratos. "I believe you. Very well. I will duel you, Slate, and prove the path of justice always triumphs over that of evil." "Humph." Slate said, as though he was wounded by the words. "Like you can talk of justice. It was you the Sensei favored, even though I was just as good!" Blade looked like he had been cut.
~Flashback: Blade~
Blade: "Sensei, why can't I use the new moves you taught me? I'm sure to win!"
Sensei: "Because he has no idea such moves exist, and he is not yet ready to learn them. When he is, I will teach him."
Blade: "Very well, Sensei."
Blade and Slate duel using Hyrameki on the Dojo's battlefloor, and seem to be evenly matched.

"Oh, Sensei, if you had allowed me to use those moves then, this wouldn't have happened." Blade muttered under his breath.
Blade's attention snapped back to the battle as Aipom let out a cry. "Aipom, leap as well!"
