Name: Cade Highhill
Nicknames/Aliases: N/A
Occupation: Thief
Age: 25
Apparent age: Eight
Race: Halfling
Class: Rogue/Bard
Gender: Male
Possessions: Around his neck, he wears a highly enchanted ruby pendant. When light hits the pendant, the light seems to reflect off of it from a million different facets. The pendant can then attract the attention of any one who is looking at it. The wearer can 'influence' whomever is looking at the pendant. It doesn't work on races who are more resistance to magic, or those who use magic.
From a human, he 'aquired' a figurine that can summon a black panther. The panther is Cade's best friend and most valuable ally.
He has a lute that he likes to play for attention.
Weapons: He has a silver mace, and a shortsword. For ranged battles, he has a short bow.
Magic/powers: N/A
Appearance: Cade stands at about four feet, tall for a halfling. He is chubby, weighing about one hundred and twenty pounds. His skin is normally lightly tanned, as he spends a lot of time sleeping under trees in the summer. His hair is a dark brown, almost a shade of black, and falls to his shoulders in curly locks. His eyes are a bright blue, always looking about curiously. He normally wears a loose fitting shirt, and trousers. The only thing about him that is any show of wealth is the ruby pendant around his neck, which he keeps tucked in the collar of his shirt, and takes it out in emergencies only.
Personality: Cade is bubbly person, often approaching people and striking up conversation with them. He has a high charisma, so is often the center of attention at taverns and whatnot. He's compulsively social, and chatty. He's not above using his ruby pendant to ensure that he and his traveling companions don't have to pay for a room, or beer. He thrives to be in the spotlight, and his lute helps with this. On his lute, he can play many different songs, and if someone hums one, he'd play it, if only to please that one person. If he runs into another halfling during his journeys, he'll greet him, or her, like they were an old friend.
History: Cade was born into a large town, and his parents were almost as easygoing as him. He drifted through his child hood, though he learnt how to silently creep through the alleyways of his town. Through out his teens, Cade learned the graceful art of thievery, and often stole pocket change from visitors. Though he was rarely caught, when he was he accepted his punshiment with a stoic attitude, even going as far as to replace whatever he had stolen, be it money, or an item.
Nearly five years ago, Cade left his home town, and created a legacy for his family name with his attention-hog personality. Now, when he walks into an inn, tavern, or anything of the sort, people ask him to play his lute and he is happy to oblige, jumping up onto a table and beginning to play masterfully.
After ten years of practice, he has honed his thieving skills to the point that he is never caught, and he finds great joy in stealing things, and returning them, claiming to have captured and fought off the thief. This has only helped to increase his growing legacy. His traveling partners know the truth behind the stories he tells, though they see no harm in the things he does, and usually don't tell others that it is him that steals the things he returns.
