Clariel's home

[Kiki]

"See if I'm pregnant or not. It's hard to find her sometimes, but Cam can always track her down."

[kratos]

Inala smiled and petted her. "I hope you are."

[Kiki]

She nodded. "My mate and I have been trying for so long."

[kratos]

Inala thought for a minute. "Question. How often around here does it turn out that no matter how often the couple mates, the female never gets pregnant?"

[Kiki]

"On this ranch, usually not very because some of us ask Claire for herbal stuf that'll help with fertility. Claire depends on our offspring for her living, so we can't really afford to wait too long. But some, like me, just prefer to wait for Mother's approval. We've been trying for around three years."

[kratos]

"Oh. Cause I was thinking that if she's letting me stay here, the least I could do is volunteer myself as a surrogate."

[Kiki]

She nodded. "Most of us just concieve naturally, but obviously we do have to do AI sometimes, depending on what a client wants."

[kratos]

Inala nodded. "I'd actually consider it a priviledge to help out around here by being a surrogate."

[Kiki]

She nodded and Clariel walked up. "You wanted me, Lei?" Lei nodded and Clariel examined her. "Congrats." Lei squealed happily.
"I have to tell Jerry!!" The happy Leafeon shot off like a rocket and Clariel smiled.
"She always has been an energetic one."

[kratos]

Inala smiled. "Say, Clariel, do you think it'd be possible for me to help out around here by being a surrogate?"

[Kiki]

She nodded. "There are some Shinx babies that I found that were in the forest about a week back. They were clearly just newborn at the time. And there are also plenty of other orphans, if that's what you're meaning."

[kratos]

Inala shook her head. "I meant help with the breeding. Not necessarily for the girls who don't want to or can't have children. Just I'd carry the babies for them because I want to."

[Kiki]

She nodded. "I just operate by two definitions of surrogate is all. I know i should probably use 'foster' for the mothers that care for abandoned babies, but it's just the way my mom taught me."

[kratos]

Inala nodded. "So, do you think I could be a surrogate?"

[Kiki]

She nodded.

[kratos]

Inala smiled. "Thank you. I don't really mind what species of pokemon I'm carrying as long as I'm not carrying multiple Ponyta." She rubbed her middle. "Do you think we could get one started in me now?" she said. "Sorry to sound demanding, but it's been 15 years since I've carried a child and I've missed it so much."

[Kiki]

Clariel flipped a small notebook open and looked through it. "There's no one that really needs any right now... Winter's kind of a slow time. But I'm sure there'll be something in a little while." She closed the notebook.

[kratos]

Inala nodded. "Ok then." She smiled and turned to Cameron. "I still want to hang out with you."

[Kiki]

Cameron nodded. "Okay."
Clariel blinked when she sensed something amiss. "What in the world?" She ran outside and found a boy lying in the snow, a sword on his hip. He wore no coat and had the looks of a mercenary. She helped him up and carried him inside.

Inala smiled and sat down beside Cameron. "So, what do you want in a girl?"

[Kiki]

"Hm... SOmeone kind, caring, loyal, gentle, but not afraid to tell me what she wants, but not overbearing either..."

Clariel put the boy on the couch and started tending to his wounds. "Ow, ow!" he said as he woke up and Clariel was putting some antiseptic to some of his major wounds.
"Stop being a baby."

[kratos]

"I want a guy who's loyal, like to cuddle, and doesn't mind the fact that I've volunteered myself as a surrogate."

[Kiki]

He nodded. "I can be that."

"What is this stuff? It stings worse than porin salve!" the mercenary snapped.
"It's antiseptic. It's a lot beter than a lot of herbal remedies. So be quiet."
"Ow!"
Clariel shook her head and finished tending to his wounds, then started on dinner

[kratos]

Inala smiled. "Then I'll gladly give you a chance." He smiled and petted her. "Would you like to go in my pouch?"

[Kiki]

He smiled. "Sure"

"Zuri, would you go tell the kids that dinner will be done soon?" Clariel asked a snow white Ninetales.
"Of course." Zuri headed outside to look for Sol and Sylvia.

[kratos]

Inala picked Cameron up and gently tucked him down inside her pouch, smiling.

Sol was grooming a Vulpix and Sylvia was watching a pair of shinx play fighting.

[Kiki]

Cameron snuggled down into the pouch.

"Kids," Zuri said. "Clariel is saying dinner will be done soon." Her white color made her imposibble to see against the snow, so it probably sounded like a ghost speaking to them.

[kratos]

Sol nodded, though Sylvia was a little freaked out. "What are you?"

Inala smiled, gently rubbing her pouch. "It's been a long time since I had someone furry in my pouch. I'd forgotten how it felt."

[Kiki]

"It's just Zuri," one of the Shinx said. "She's nearly impossible to see in winter. SHe's a snow-white Ninetales. She's Claire's oldest companion."
"I tend to sink into the snow because I'm kind of heavy," Zuri said from her impossible to see place.

He nodded.

[kratos]

"Kind of heavy?"

Inala smiled and laid down, relaxing. "You're welcome to my pouch anytime you want for any reason."
