[Kiki]

A man that looked about twenty five and a sixteen year old girl ran side-by-side, holding hands. "Are we safe?" she asked.
"I don't know yet, Aeri," he said. "But I hope so..." The sound of hoofbeats met the man's ears and he grabbed hold o the girl, hiding behind a rock outcropping. Both their hearts were racing and they were breathing heavily, but they were silent otherwise.
"I know they came this way," someone on horseback said.
"The little bitch covered their tracks," a second person said.

[kratos]

"Search the area. Don't let them go!" a third voice bellowed.

[Kiki]

Sen, I'm scared, Aerina thought, closing her eyes in fright.
We'll be all right, Senor told her.

"WHere'd those two go?" the first said, the Rapidash under him shaking its head.
"I don't sense them anywhere, but they must still be nearby," the Rapidash said.

[kratos]

"What about behind this rock?" one of the voices said, clearly referring to the rock the two were hiding behind.
"Well, look, you dunderhead!" As he stepped forward, a warrior came out of nowhere and knocked him back with a powerful kick.
"You won't harm the innocent without getting through me."

[Kiki]

Aeri, who is that?
I don't know.

THe Rapidash spat a powerful Flamethrower at the warrior, shaking her head. "Stand down! You don't know what you're dealing with."

[kratos]

"I think I do. Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" The powerful blast of water shot forth, extinguishing the Flamethrower and slamming hard into the Rapidash. "The great ninja clans of the Leaf, Mist, Sand, Rain, Cloud, and Sound villages. I've studied their techniques and made them my own. You can't possibly beat me."

[Kiki]

The Rapidash's knees buckled under her and she fell to her knees. "You bastard!" the first said. "Suna, are you okay?"
"I...think one of my legs is broken..." The man returned her, clearly caring about her. "Jonas, let's go."
"But the fugitives...!" the second said.
"We won't win this battle. ANd it's out of our juristiction now. We're in Alpha D."
"Mm. I see." The two men snapped, then disappeared.

Seron held Aerina close, protecting her. She was crying silently, scared out of her mind.

[kratos]

The man approached them. "Are you two all right?" he asked. "Don't worry. I don't think they'll come back anytime soon."

[Kiki]

Aerina jumped in fright and the pair disappeared. Aeri, I think we can trust him, Seron told her. The pair reappeared and Aerina was wide-eyed, shaking.

[kratos]

"Don't worry. I won't hurt you. I just want to know why they were after you and who they were."

[Kiki]

"T-The Delta Squad. They prosecute those that break the socially acceptable forms of love..." Aerina said. "Law says we can't love someone more or less than two years our age..."
"We're nine years apart," Seron said.

[kratos]

"I see. With age being an issue, there's nothing I can do to permanently resolve it, but I can easily fend them off should they come back." A harsh wind began to blow. "Sandstorm." He got close to them, then began to spin. "Rotation!" The protective field surrounded them, blocking the sandstorm.

[Kiki]

"W-Who are you?" Aerina asked, burying her face in Seron's chest.
"They won't come after us again. This is out of their jurisdiction. We live in Theta D and this is Alpha," Seron said.

[kratos]

"Can't talk," the man said, still spinning.

[Kiki]

"In short, you can stop," Seron said.

[kratos]

He kept up the rotation until the sandstorm had stopped. "Sorry about that. Sandstorms can be devastating."

[Kiki]

Seron nodded. Aerina was still shaking with fright. "We'll be okay. You'll be accepted here, Aeri," he said gently, holding Aerina close

[kratos]

The man nodded. "Though there are still delinquents around, they won't target you unless you've got a lot of money or some sort of special power."

[Kiki]

"B-But this is Pokeopolis... A safe haven for us..." Aerina said, still shaking. "A-A safe haven..."
"Aeri, you've got to calm down. If you don't, it'll overwhelm you." Aerina closed her eyes and continued to shake.

[kratos]

"I can let you two stay in my house. No one would dare to try and attack you if they knew you knew me. They know I could easily destroy them."

[Kiki]

Aerina covered her ears and dropped to her knees, shaking even more. "Aeri! Calm down," Seron said.

[kratos]

"You'll be safe here is what I'm saying. And I'm offering you a place to stay."

[Kiki]

"I know. But it's nothing you said. There's just too much information for her," Seron said.

[kratos]

"I'm sorry. I said too much. Well, if you follow me, I'll show you to my house." He started walking. "By the way, are you thirsty?"

[Kiki]

"Not anything you said," He said again. "She's a powerful psychic. She can pick up information from everything in nature. We've never been to Alpha, so it's an overload for her." He gently picked Aerina up, cradling her in his arms.

[kratos]

He nodded. "Still, are you thirsty? It's quite a ways to get out of the desert, so you'll need to stay hydrated."

[Kiki]

He nodded. "Yeah. By the way, what is your name?"

[kratos]

"I'm Kadin."

[Kiki]

"I'm Seron and this is Aerina."

[kratos]

Kadin nodded and handed him a canteen. "I haven't drank out of it yet."
