She opened it and blinked. It was a necklace and earrings that were a mixture of aurora borealis crystals and diamonds. They were in the shapes of roses.

There was a tattoo parlor a few stores down that was showed it also pierced ears.

She followed, looked around warily. "Whatcha need?" a woman said. She had short black hair and was heavily tattooed and had her nose and lip pierced. Her ears were also pierced all the way up to the top. Anaya's eyes went wide and round.

Anaya followed, staying behind Atreyu. She was clearly afraid of the woman. "'Sall right, kid. Won't hurt ya," she said. "Way I do it it is with magic. Ya won't feel a thing." She motioned for Anaya to sit down and Anaya did so hesitantly.

She smiled weakly as she squeezed Atreyu's hand in return. She paled a bit as she saw the needle. "S'all right, kid. It won't hurt a bit," the woman said reassuringly. The woman held her hand behind Anaya's ear. Anaya squeezed her eyes shut, but didn't feel anything as the woman used magic to numb the pain.
