Huinua came back, the Eevee keeping herself tight against him to get warmed up. "Anyone here a firebender? I'm only an amateur waterbender."

"I know not what you speak of, but I am highly proficient in Fire magic." He snapped and a blue fire appeared a few inches above the snow, casting warmth all around. The snow beneath the flame melted for several feet around.

Huinua sat down near the flame. The Eevee's shivering slowly stopped and she fell asleep. "She probably tired herself out trying to stay alive."

Huinua nodded. "She needs to get her body temp back up, too. I say if she'd gotten much colder, her body would have started shutting down."

A few hours later, the Eevee woke up and looked up at Huinua. "Morning," he said.
"You. You're the one who saved my life."
"I guess I did."

"Can I come with you?" the Eevee asked.
"Wouldn't your friends and family miss you?"
"I live alone anyway. There's no one to miss me."

He put the potion vile into the pouch on his belt, then snapped and put the fire out. He stood up and put his backpack over his shoulder. "Shall we set out now, then?"
