"Hyrule's winters were mild, but this is nothing to me," Toax said.
"This isn't as bad as last winter, though," Shea said, shivering. "It's still been below freezing since Zaest attacked, though."

"That's not neccessarily what I mean." He stopped for a second, sniffing the air. "I smell...an Eevee near here. And it's not Saik or Shea."

"I wouldn't expect an Eevee to be out in this kind of cold. Not a wild one, anyway." He started walking, following the smell, until he came to an Eevee that had been trapped in an avalanche. Ice had formed on many places on its body. "We can't just leave it there."
Alexis nodded and tried to approach it, but jumped back as it sent a Shadow Ball at her. "Poor thing. It must be scared out of its mind."

Toax took out his ocarina and started playing a soothing melody that would make anybody calm down no matter how scared or upset they were.

The frightened Eevee shot a Shadow Ball at the ocarina. "Let me try," Huinua said.
"That seems a bit off," Alexis said. "Most Eevees are afraid of Zangoose."
"But do you really think it'll attack when I have this necklace?"
"Right. The stone of peace. It's worth a try." Huinua nodded and touched a claw to the stone as he approached. Though the Eevee was shivering out of fear and cold, it didn't attack.
"Just take it easy," Huinua said, stooping down in front of it. "We're here to help." He gently rubbed the Eevee's ear, then stood up. He held a hand out towards the ice and right around the Eevee, it melted and was pulled away. "Cool. I really did learn waterbending. Well, some." He gently picked up the shivering Eevee and held her close to get her warmed up.
