[Kiki]

Toax grabbed his ocarina and played a short melody, one that forced the Seviper back even farther, then went back to rummaging through his backpack. "Where is it? WHere is it?"

The Seviper was only temporarily stunned and quickly came back to strike again. Alexis began playing a heavenly melody on her ocarina. The tune echoed for miles. Hearing the tune, the Seviper stopped a foot away from Huinua, where it would have had a perfect position to finish him. It sat there, listening to the music.

[Kiki]

Saik hesitated, then fired a powerful Pin Missile at the Seviper. He also infused electricity into them that would kill it.
"Where is it?" Toax muttered under his breath as he continued to rummage through his backpack.

The Seviper was attentive enough to dodge the Pin Missile. As Alexis' tune ended, the Seviper did something never seen before. It left. With a Zangoose right in front of it, helpless and ready for the finish, it left. "Arasion, the prayer of peace," Alexis said. "A tune sacred enough to quell any rage I was told. I'd never had a chance to use it, so that was a trial by fire." She turned back to Huinua, who was barely hanging on. "Just hold on, dad."

[Kiki]

"Found it!" Toax breathed as he held a small vile up. It was smaller than his pinkie finger and held a small amount of pinkish liquid. He walked over to Huinua, then poured it in the Zangoose's mouth. "It does not look like much, but it is the strongest antitoxin known to me. ANd I have traveled hundreds of years through many, many lands and worlds."

Huinua's breathing slowed and stabilized. "Seems it's taken effect already," Alexis said. "But he was at death's door. A few more seconds and he wouldn't have made it. He'll probably be unconscious for a while."

[Kiki]

Toax nodded. "It is a very quick acting antitoxin."
"Wiat that... That'll take months to remake!" Shea said, recognizing it.

[kratos]

"I'm sorry," Alexis said. "If I'd jumped in sooner, I could have saved him from being poisoned."

[Kiki]

"I have more doses. I just keep them buried deep to prevent the viles from being smashed," Toax said. "It is all right. I am always prepared for any situation."

[kratos]

"We have to prevent that from happening again. I can't play Arasion every time." She thought a while. "That's it. The stone of prayer. Anyone who wears it instills an overwhelming sense of peace in anyone who looks on them. If dad wore it, any Seviper would leave him alone, but making one will be difficult with only 2 people with ocarinas."

[Kiki]

"I...still hold some divine powers," Toax said, a bit of pain in his voice. "I could use them to help."

[kratos]

"Even if we both have divine powers, neither of us can play two different songs at the same time. To make a stone of prayer, three different songs need to be played at the same time. I know all three and I can teach them to you, but without a third ocarina player, it's impossible."

[Kiki]

He nodded. "Could it be done with any other type of music?" Shea asked.

[kratos]

"It could, but all three instruments have to be the same, or the result could be catastrophic."

[Kiki]

"Damn. I was thinking maybe I could use Sacreds," Shea said. "They can replicate any instrument down to energy signature and reverberation."

[kratos]

"I can play," Huinua said. Alexis turned to see him struggling to his feet.
"It's a difficult song, dad. I'm not sure you could play without four fingers."
"Trust me," he said. "I've still got the ocarina your mother made for me. She used to play it anytime we had a few minutes of peace and she taught me how. After I was killed, she came back as soon as she could and placed the ocarina in my lifeless hand. It seems that when you brought me back, it came with me."

[Kiki]

"You should rest," Toax said.

[kratos]

"Don't worry about me," Huinua said. "Which song do you need me to play? The song of earth, song of life, or song of hope?"
"How do you even know of them?" Alexis asked.
"When you've been dead for thousands of years, you learn a lot of stuff from other dead people."

[Kiki]

Toax nodded.

[kratos]

Huinua got his ocarina. "So, which one?"
"Which are you best at?"
"The song of earth is my best."
"Ok." Alexis turned to Toax. "Are you familiar with the other two?"

[Kiki]

He shook his head. "No."

[kratos]

"I'll teach you the song of hope then." She began to play the tune for him to listen to.

[Kiki]

He closed his eyes as he listened.

[kratos]

The tune soon came to a finish. "Need me to play it again?"

[Kiki]

He opened his eyes. "I need only hear a melody once before I have it memorized."

[kratos]

"The three songs have to join together perfectly. What I just play for you is the first part, then I would join in, then dad would." She turned to Huinua. "Are you sure you can do this? I can't cue you when to come in."
"Trust me. I can do this."

[Kiki]

"Should I begin playing?" he asked, then put his ocarina to his lips.

[kratos]

Alexis nodded.

[Kiki]

He closed his eyes and started to play the melody flawlessly.

[kratos]

Alexis joined in with perfect timing and a faint glow appeared around them. Huinua joined in and the glow grew brighter. He'd joined at the right time. The three songs harmonized together and amist the music, between the three of them, a jewel began to take shape.
