Shade just floated around, looking bored. He was missing the constant action of adventure.
"Oh, and this is Shade, the friend I told you about, that broke me out of the enemy's jail." Spike said, waving his hand over to Shade.

He looked over at Shade, "Or loyalty so strong it would search for years to find you." He looked at Celcia once again, "Or even an ability like Flash Fire could be seen as special."

"Yeah. There was a burning building coming down once. The flames were too much for the firefighters to handle. I ran past, using Extremespeed, which, needless to say, is a move tha greatly increases my speed, rounded up the few who couldn't make it out, then I jumped out the 20th floor window with them on my back. Landed on the big air landing matress the firefighters had set out, but all those people coming down on me was enough to break 2 of my legs."

"I couldn't really move either," Celcia said. "Luckily, one of the families, who's little girl I saved, took me home with them to give me a place to rest while I recovered. They were very nice people. Made it very hard to say goodbye."

Spike smiled. He understood, he had felt the same way when he left for his last adventure, the people there were so nice, but he'd been unable to stay after the realm became peaceful. Too boring... "I understand, after I helped free a realm from the grip of a tyrant, i was treated as a hero, it was the hardest thing I could have ever done to leave, but that's what brought me here."

"Back home, before you came. it was said that a couple would share dreams before they married. A symbol of their unity." Shade said, "Exept it happened when you were still awake."

"Eh, that's just how he is." Spike said, "And he was talking about a custom his people had, a dating couple would share a dream if their relationship was meant to be." Spike began telling her of Shade's home, Shade butting in with a peice of trivia or extra details as he thought they were needed.

"I don't know." Spike was, for once, completely out of ideas. He looked at Shade. "And what did you mean by 'it changes'? I thought you foresaw my arrival in your realm? So if you saw it, why didn't it change?" Spike was confused by the way Shade had spoken...
"It did, Spike. I forsaw your arrival, true, however I saw it as a bad thing. After the fact, i realize it was for the better that it happened." Shade said, "And so i pledged my loyalty to you."
