"She's off her shift in about a half hour. You head to the diner near here and I'll send her there to treat herself to a sticky bun. Heaven knows how much she loves them. That'll give you a chance to talk without her being pulled away by her pager."

When the half hour passed, Lita met Emy at the door. "Hey, you've been working really hard today. Treat yourself to a sticky bun at the diner on me," she said, handing Emy a $5 bill.

"We must take him outside into nature for mother wood to help him," she said.

"Mother wood's power here is strong enough," Mjrn said. Slowly a small glow flew from the trees and the ground to Goram's body. The trees lost a few leaves before Goram opened his eyes.
"Am I...alive?"

Lita caught him and took him inside. "But how?" Goram asked. "That was concentrated life energy I used to heal Sora. It should have taken my own life."
"Mother wood does not allow one to sacrifice himself in such a noble way easily," Mjrn said.
