Aedna loked around warily, not used to being away from the forest. SHe stepped into the hotsprings despite the heat of the summer.

Aedna jumped and reflexively tossed her dagger at him. It came within an inch of his cheek and stuck in a rock behind him. "S-Sorry," Aedna said.

Aedna got out of the hotspring and retrieved the dagger, then put it in its sheathe on her thigh. "Again, sorry. I am not used to being out of the forest."

A white bird with scarlet wingtips about the size of a great horned owl plummetted out of the sky and perched next to Aedna. "What is it, Nakil?" The bird trilled softly and shook her feathers. Aedna rolled her eyes. "You know as well as I do that the metal will not rust because of the inlaid spells."
