it's the year 2010 and while the rest of the world is in peace, a secret war is beginning.
for centuries, vampires and werewolves have been at peace, with vampires as the Masters and werewolves as servants and slaves - mongrels to do the Master's bidding.
now.
in new york city, a small, volatile pack of lycans have risen up and escaped into the safegaurded haven of adirondack park where they kill left, right and center, fighting for werewolf supremecy.
the wealthy, vampire, heiress of the hamilton hotel empire is now ready to follow in her parent's footsteps and, with a few chosen friends, intends to regain supremacy over the lycans, seeing them as rabid dogs.
there are those vampires and lycans, however, who see no cause for the hate - and wish only for peace - and they have allied together, vampire paired with lycan.
a group of humans have clued in - hunters and slayers of the supernatural while civilians move in sweet oblivion, else start to think about the strange, unsolved attacks, while some lycans see nothing wrong in slavery, and some vampires detest the word.
