Derrick walked inside the gym again. He sent out the freshly caught Espeon and Ayama to show that he had 2 Pokemon this time.

Suprised, Derrick knelt down and asked hesitantl. "Do you know where the gym leader is?" He was wondering who et their kid run around, what he believed, a public place.

Derrick paused in thought, then shrugged his shoulders. He didn't know, neither cared at that moment. He actually felt somewhat embarrassed since that was the second time he had been there since he stormed into the gym, only to find out it was double battles and that he had merely one Pokemon.

Kenji smiled and took two Poke Balls from his belt.

Derrick would have, except his Pokemon were already out. Ayama and Espeon stepped into the ring, getting into a defensive stance in case the Pokemon came out with some sort of offensive move.

"Figures." Derrick said. Of course this gym leader would have the Pokemon to beat him. He wondered how Espeon would react. He had promised to try and prevent her from fighting dark types. His only hope would to try and keep his Pokemon from fighting the one that had the advantage over her.

Ayama backed up. She knew there was little chance of avoiding a whirlpool, so she had to put distance away from the attack to use her next move. "Flamethrower on Swift." Derrick said. Ayama let loose a torrent of flame from her mouth. It blasted straight through or past the swift attack directly to Umbreon.
"Think you can take care of Buizel?" Derrick asked the Espeon.

"Jump!" Kushina shouted from her father's arm.
Kenji smiled as his Umbreon jumped. "Dark Pulse!"

"Ayama, don't let Espeon get hit." Derrick commanded. Ayama dove at the dark pulse and was hit. Ayama recovered and used Flamethrower on airborn Umbreon.

"Iron Tail!" Kenji instructed. Umbreon's tail glowed brightly as he spun forward, the flames splitting around the tail.

Ayama stopped using Flamethrower and dodged to the side. She attempted to use a seismic Toss on the Umbreon.

Espeon focused on the Buizel, ready to fight. She started by trying to restrain Buizel with Psychic.

AYama was unable to dodge since she had gotten so close. Derrick realized that Ayama was seriously poisoned and that she wouldn't be able to fight much longer. "Seismic Toss, and while doing that use Flamethrower."

Espeon turned her focus on Ayama and used Psychic to pull the poison out through the way it went in. "Thank me later. Fight now!"

"Protect!" Kenji called. Umbreon focused, aarge bubble of energy surrounding him.

Ayama stopped her attack when Umbreon used protect."Try to prepare and wait." Derrick commanded her. "Espeon, can you try using Pshycic on Buizel to distract it until Ayama can land an attack on Umbreon."

Mist being a form of water, Ayama had more trouble keeping her focus up. Derrick realized he didn't have much time before Ayama had to release her blast. "Espeon back up and use Psybeam." he told the Espeon. It seemed strangly unresponsive (since I think Kratos is roleplaying her.) "Attack Buizel." Ayama let loose her Flamethrower through the Mist and to where she believed Buizle to be.
