A howl pierced the air and eight Houndoom accompanied by six Mightyena surrounded the pair. The largest Houndoom approached. "So the little girl approaches. Tired of the old mate?" The Houndoom's eyes flicked to Danny. Marci's cheeks burned and her hair turned bright red. The Houndoom laughed.

Danny looked around, then noticed Marci, "We're just friends..." He said to the Houndoom.

The Houndoom barked with laughter. "The girl's reaction says differently!"
"Is there a problem here?" A large, scarred Houndoom walked over, his forked tail swishing in the air. He gave off a menacing, authoritative air. His battle-scarred pelt and missing left eye added to the menace. The slightly smaller Houndoom stepped back instinctively but his expression didn't change.
"Zuro. WHat buisiness do you have here?"

"Get out of here, you coward," Zuro growled, his voice gravelly. "You've changed my clan from respected to the lowest of scum. Get out of my sight."
Mahir, the opposing Houndoom, merely laughed. "Get out of here, old one. You are no threat to me."
Zuro lunged at Mahir with all the speed of a Delcatty and snapped the younger Houndoom's spine before anyone could take a breath. He glared at his former clanmates. "Any of you want to take me on?"
"No, sir," a slightly small Houndoom said. He was clearly the beta of the clan by his air.

Zuro nodded, then walked off with his tail swishing. Marci smiled. "That's Zuro. He looks really tough and is, but he's a big teddy bear once you get to know him."
