Auria smiled and looked up. "It feels so odd to be so far from home, but I had heard you moved out here, so I came to visit." Aluna patted the large bird's wing.
"Thanks. I'm glad. I thought you had forgotten about me after you didn't show up that one day."
"I had to rescue some hikers and it took quite a while to convince them all I was just going to save them. Apparently, they had seen an Absol right before they had seen me."
"I see," Aluna said.

Auria looked to the sky again. "I'd better get going."
"If you're ever in the neigborhood again, drop in," Aluna said.
"I'll be sure to." With that, the Articuno opened her wings and took off into the frigid gray sky.

Aluna nodded. "Yeah. It's been about a decade. During that time, I had pretty low confidence since my mom had just died. After she didn't show up for a meeting one day, I assumed that she had abandoned me just like my father. Of course, as I grew older, I had a feeling something had happened to make her not show up, but I also assumed after all this time, she had just forgotten."
