(Oh. Heh, I just realized how confusing Shadow's comment could have been. XD. He means that he wishes people wouldn't change, but he knows differently because he's one of the people who has changed.)
After a couple minutes Shadow had finished eating.
Fox had taken a couple bites, but he was more focused on cuddling with Sapphire.

Fox looked up, shocked. "Wha...?" He glanced at Sapphire to see her reaction.
Shadow looked at Maria, "Maria, now that's mean. Make them feel all self-consious now..."

Fox nodded, "It'd be nice, but I'm not sure if we want to get too intimate yet... After all, it is our first date."
Shadow nodded, "Sensible. If it doesn't work out, you don't have extra emotional attachments to get broken."
