Melanie and Charmander walked down the beach, the waves lapping up against the shore. They then sat down on the gold colored sand. "It's beautiful here." Melanie said.

Yorshri walked along the beach, her eyes a light shade of blue and her golden hair billowing behind her as she walked. A thick, snow white cloak was draped over her shoulders as she braced herself against the cold wind and she shivered. The cloak was delicately embroidered on the edges and robes, unlike anything from this dimension, were slightly visible underneath. They were a delicate shade of gold and emboridered with patterns of flowers.

"Char!" Charmander turned around and stood up. "What is it, Charmander?" Melanie also turned around and saw a girl walking on the beach. "Char!" Charmander smiled.

Man, it's so cold, Yorshri thought with a shiver. She blinked when she sensed a person and a Pokemon.

"Char! Charmander!" The Pokemon exclaimed. "Charmander, don't yell at people it's rude." Melanie said in her gentle tone.

Yorshri walked over, pulling her cloak tighter. "Hello," she said, her eyes flashing from their light blue to a light green.

"Hi, I'm Melanie and this is Charmander." Melanie greeted. "Char! Char!" Charmander smiled.

"My name's Yorshri Aurion." She bowed, the cloth of the cloak and robes shimmering ever so slightly in the sunlight. "I see you're new to this city. Your aura says so." She blinked, then sweatdropped. "Sorry if I do that. I can just naturally read aura."

"You can read aura?" Melanie asked. "That's really cool."

"I guess," Yorshri said. "It's something I was born with the ability to do. Most people where I come from can also do that."

"Where are you from?" Melanie asked. "Char Charmander?" Charmander asked the same question.

Yorshri smiled and sweatdropped slightly. "Well, I'm from another dimension," she said, her eyes turning light blue-green.

"Another dimension?" Melanie asked. She had never heard of such a thing. Charmander and Melanie exchanged confused glances.

Yorshri nodded. "A large number of people in this city are also from the same dimension as I am," she said. "It's where we learned our magic."

Melanie thought about the man she and Charmander met in the park a few days ago. "Do you know a man named Kenji?" She asked. "Does he have magic powers, too?"

Yorshri blinked in surprise, her eyes turning a slightly deeper shade of blue-green. "Yes. He's my son-in-law." For a person who didn't know Yorshri, it might be a bit hard to believe she was married as she only looked between 16 and 21. The age really depended on how she dressed and her hairstyle. At the moment, she looked about 18, though her robes gave her a bit more of a surreal effect, making her look a little more like the goddess she was. The gray clouds slowly broke apart, revealing the sun. Strains of a faint melody, clearly played on the flute, could be heard over the gentle wind, but no one could really be sure if the melody was real or not. The newfound winter sunlight shone down weakly and Yorshri smiled at it.

"So you do know him." Melanie said, taking notice of Yorshri's coloring changing eyes. How do her eyes change color like that? Perhaps another power of hers? Charmander continued to stand next to Melanie quietly. It was a bit strange; Charmander was usually energetic.

There was long, silent pause. Melanie didn't know what to say next, but she didn't want to seem rude by ending the conversation.

[Sorry my posts have been sucky. Not much muse and I'm busy forum hopping and all that]
Yorshri sighed as she looked out over the ocean. "I'm sorry for being silent. I just came out here to contemplate recent events," she said.

That okay, Kiki! And your posts don't suck. -------------------------- "What do you mean?" Melanie asked, picking up Charmander and holding the Pokemon in her arms.

"Just a bit's happened lately," Yorshri said. "The League raided this city in hopes of 'purging' it of human/Pokemon marriges. Many people almost died including my son."
[Heh. keep in mind the fact she looks only about 18 and for her to be talking about having a son that's old enough to be married will be odd to Melanie probably]

Her son? She looks about 18! Melanie thought. "Pokemon and human marriages? What's that all about?" She asked.

"The reason this city was founded was because the mayor, Mr. Lobo, wanted a place where people weren't bound by society and could be who they were. Well, actually, the original intent was to allow Pokemon and human marriges because he himself is married to a Gardevoir. The result was actually a haven for outcasts," Yorshri said. "People that use magic, Pokemorphs and others along those lines live here."

"Oh," Melanie replied, "I see now. It's terrible that some people and Pokemon aren't accepted by others just because they're different."

"There are certain spells around this city that keep it hidden. If somebody isn't settled here and leave the border, they forget. Well, there are some exceptions..."
