"5,000 years? That is a long time, long enough to master all types of swordsmanship. Is Rotash still around?" Blade sat and examined his sword. "Oh. It's been scratched. Oh well. I can fix it. Sensei's sword has seen worse days." he returned the sword to it's sheath, and put both onto his back.

"Yes, he is," Mei said. "He just forged this for me not too long ago to replace the one Akina had made me." She winced when she said Akina's name. "Kiki and I trained side by side under Rotash-katzu, but she is slightly better than me."

"Where is Kiki? We have a lot of catching up to do. Did you know she won the Jhoto Championship from me years ago? Anyway, could you give this," he held out a scroll which he had been writing, "to him for me?" (the scroll holds his information, and basically asks if Rotash has learned Hyrameki. Boring stuff from master to master.)

"I would, but I am forbidden from Onshi," Mei said. "I am living with Kiki at the moment because of this..." She motioned to her body. "I should be in my twenties (or thirties), but the Council of Gods and Goddesses decided to do this to me... They gave me Eternal Life at fifteen..."

"Hmm. that presents a challenge. Perhaps you could get Kiki to get it to him. After all, we have met before." Blade stood. "Waiting around finishes no chores. Let's go. I'm looking foward to seeing Kiki again. It has been such a long time.

"I could call her here," Mei said. "That would be a little easier, probably."

"Either way." Blade walked over to a tree, and called Blaziken, who had been watching the fight. "Blaziken, the duel is over! Time to return to your training!" Blaziken came running, disappearing, then reappearing next to Blade. "We'll practice your natural moves for now. Try using Slash, then Sky Uppercut to cut a long vertical slash in this tree.

A fast paced and high energy song sounded from nowhere and the immediate area (meaning a 20 foot radius) around Mei turned to spring. Then Kiki appeared. "Mei, what's the deal? I'm still recovering," she said, covering her hand with her face. "You know the Primordial is worse than Shadow."

Blade turned as the seasons changed from the energy. "Hello, Kiki, remember me?" His Blaziken completed his attack behind him. "Good, Blaziken." Blade didn't even have to look, because he had heard the wood tearing as the claws cut through it.

Kiki looked at Blade. "Vaguely. I'm sorry. I'm usually better at remembering people, but I'm recovering from something that could've put me on my deathbed," she said. "It messed with my mind a bit, so I'm still working out my memories. But you do look vaguely familiar."

"My name is Blade. I was Jhoto Champion before you." Blade put in, and waited for her to register the information. "I moved here about a month ago, getting out of the limelight for a bit. I never thought i'd meet you here."

"Oh now I remember," she said. "Back when I was sixteen, I also moved here for that. I never moved back to Pallet because of the paprazzi. Plus, I also fit in better here."

"Exactly, that's how i feel. Way too much media. I'm not looking foward to returning, but I will have to keep my word to Sensei." He sighed, "Although when i think about the amount of attention that'd bring, it seems as though it's overwelming me." Blaziken, sensing Blade's feelings, came over and crouched down next to him.

"I've lived here over a decade with my family," Kiki said. "I'm just glad that barely anybody in the League knows about this place."

"I know, or i'd have been forced to go back way sooner. I heard about this place from some old legend, and then searched for months before I found it. This place is as safe from that busy league as a pet Spearow is to a hungry Delcatty. Locked inside the house, that delcatty can't get to it." He laughed.

"We're so lucky Mr. Lobo's first wife was full-blooded Fairy and she had such strong magic," Kiki said. "Anybody that isn't settled here that just passes through won't remember this place."

"They don't? Huh, that's interesting. That helps me stay even safer! Now people who see me cannot recall where! That's exiting!" He was smiling even wider. "Blaziken, do you think you are ready for your first test?" His face grew serious once again. "You have made enough progress." Blaziken nodded, obviously ready to try the first test of skill. Turning to Kiki and Mei, he said, "Excuse me a moment, I have to test Blaziken, one of the chores of a Master. That's one thing I cannot flee from, my chores!"

Kiki nodded, then glanced behind her. She raised a kunai and the sound of metal hitting metal rang through the air. A snow white kunai was visible on the ground. "Huh." Kiki raised her eyebrows. "Interesting. All right, come out." A white-hooded figure walked toward them, though stayed outside the bubble of spring. "You're the Eletain Ombreon told me about."

"Is this 'Eletain' a threat?" Blade asked, his Blaziken tensing at his side, ready to charge with him. He reached for his sword instinctively, ready to draw it at a word.

"I am no threat, human." The Eletain's voice was beautiful and melodious, but was hard as ice. "Kareri-ilu-san, you are on your feet at all times." She pulled back her hood and took her mask off, revealing blue eyes the color of the winter sky and golden hair. "Even recovering from the Primordial, you are on your feet." "Always gotta," Kiki said.

"Whoa, you know this creature?" All signs of aggression gone, Blade was amazed at how close they seemed. "And who exactly is she?" Blaziken seemed to be wary of the Eletain, but the worst of his aggression had passed.

"I don't know her personally, but I'm well-known among the Eletains," Kiki said. "Wait. Your eyes are like Shawdell's. You're related to him." "That, you are correct on. I am Emeria, his daughter," the Eletain said. "What are you doing so far from Eltia, let alone in a modern city?" Kiki asked. "I do not wish to discuss."

"I will leave you to talk, while I test Blaziken. Come, Blaziken." Blaziken followed him away, out of hearing range of them, although he never stopped looking over his shoulder as though he thought Emeria would attack at any second. "Blaziken, relax. There is no threat at the moment. You must learn to trust those you have not met."

Blade's sword sat in the roots of a tree, as he and Blaziken were facing each other in the center of the field. They both took a step and dissapeared, reappearing a second later trading punches and kicks halfway between the starting points. A minute passed, then Blade was knocked over and Blaziken helped him up. As they returned to Kiki and Emeria, Blade told Blaziken, "You did well, Blaziken. You have passed."

"Heh." Kiki smiled as Eremia raised an eyebrow. "Got some info from your aura. You don't have your father's knack for not being able to be read." Emeria glared at Kiki. "Never compare me to my father!" Emeria spat.

At the shout, both Blaziken and Blaze stiffened, then used the Hyrameki to reach the small group quickly. "What's going on?" Blaziken eyed Emeria, his untrust obvious.

"Basically it's a wall in Eremia's native land that keeps tainted magic, called wild magic, from getting into the outside world," Kiki said. "I've been beyond the wall myself to learn how it was built and what lies beyond. It was somewhere between Thaetheroth and Yeno. Basically, a very opressive place." "My father wanted to loose the wild magic," Eremia said.
