Slate walked through the forest, looking at the trees. I know I wasn't ordered to, but I want to wreck this forest. He took out his sword, and began to cut down tree after tree. His Hyrameki skills, even though he never graduated, were well polished, and dangerous. As a rogue, he was even more so, as he could do as he pleased. He released his Houndoom. "Houndoom, Flamethrower!" He wanted the entire forest to go down, everything. He watched as the flames began to spread, until a forest fire was afoot, then recalled Houndoom, and left the forest to burn.
(That's an example of how Slate is, he takes his iratations and grudges out on other things, such as forests, pokemon, or people.)

Kratos teleported in and put the fire out with one of his water spells. "Hey, you!" he called to the boy walking away. "Were you responsible for that fire?"

"I may have been. Who wants to know?" Slate turned around, his Team Phantom uniform showing. "I don't think we've met. I'm Slate. Remember my name, for it makes many tremble."

"You'd do well to remember my name," Kratos said. "I nearly took down all of Team Phantom alone once. Unfortunately, I was too soft-hearted to carry through with it. I'm Kratos Aurion, this city's guardian. I will protect this city from people like you."

"What city? I don't see a city, do you? All I see are trees. Although, if they were cleared, I may be able to see a city somewhere..." Slate toyed with Kratos, showing no fear at his words. "If you took down so many of Team Phantom, why do they not remember anything about you? I'd think a big hero would be remembered, not forgotten. Perhaps you should return to mommy, little BUG." Slate infused that last word with as much hatred as he could, making it even worse an insult.

ooc: Obviously, if Kratos fights, he can't really lose. He's one of the 2 allowed God-mod characters.
"Yeah. You were 'defenseless' enough to set those trees to fire. Don't think I can't see your sword. You can't hide anything from me. You're very well skilled in a swordsman art that is highly regarded, even in the culture I lived in 4000 years ago. Your art deals with speed and moves with movements invisible to the human eye. But it can't outrun this," he said, activating his Sharingan.

"Still being unreasonable? How about we settle this with a Pokemon Duel. If I win, you leave. If you win, i'll leave." Slate was being entirely truthful, he would leave. He'd leave even if he won. He just wanted to annoy this man as much as he could beforehand.

"Ok, it's a duel. I assume you don't mind using this spartan battleground as our arena." With a wave of his hand, his Umbreon, Raine, appeared at his side.
ooc: To give you a short overview, Raine is kind of like a Genjutsu specialist. They worked to amplify her dark powers so she can completely cut off her opponent's 5 senses.

"Very well, i will use Lucario. I have heard of an Umbreon called Rayne, and know it can cut off the five senses. If cannot block the sixth sense." He threw a pokeball, and a Lucario appeared in a flash of light. "Lucario, meet our new friend." At that, he started laughing.

Kratos simply laughed and locked eyes with the Lucario, afflicting it with a 7 day illusion from Tsukoyomi. "You're next," he said, locking eyes with Slate, afflicting him with a 1 year illusion.
ooc: If you aren't familiar, Tsukoyomi can be made to make the illusion last for a very long time, yet only a second passes in reality.

ooc: The illusion can be anything the user of the Tsukoyomi wants it to be. A devastating memory from long in the victims past that he makes the victim keep reliving, torture that seems endless with no way out of it, anything that can crush them mentally. The only thing that remains the same between every illusion that the Tsukoyomi causes is the characteristic red moon and black sky.

Slate and Lucario were laying and flipping about under the power of the illusion, obviously being tourtured. Slate was re-living Blade's Graduation, and nobody knows what Lucario was feeling.

ooc: With Tsukoyomi, the illusion can be made to seem as days, but it only takes one second in real time, regardless if the illusion is 1 second or 3 days. Basically, they get hit by it, then the next second in real time, they've suffered the full effects.

"What was that?" Slate asked, no sign of fear, instead just more iratation and anger in his voice. Lucario awoke as well, although it's feelings were heavily guarded. Slate shook his head. "If you are going to attack, then I guess we didn't have an understanding. Stands to reason, since i'm talking to a different species. I bet you can't even understand me." He recalled Lucario, and began walking away, towards the city.

ooc: Trust me. If it was a full on Tsukoyomi like that, they wouldn't get back up that quickly. In the Naruto series, Sasuke and Kakashi both were hit by it and Sasuke was completely unconscious until Tsunade, legendary for her healing, her strength, and her gambling addiction, healed him. The mental effects are that strong.

Kratos appeared in front of him. "Bad idea trying to walk away from me while we're on this battlefield. Currently, we're outside any other dimension. Even I don't know what's past this point. Continue further, and I can't guarentee you'll live."

"I will continue on, unless you warp us to the forest, NOW." Slade put everything he had into that last word. He pulled all his pokeballs out and began walking again, and as he did, he let loose his pokemon. Lucario, Houndoom, and Misdrevious.

"I warned him," Kratos said to himself. "He'll see for himself how terrifying this place can be." He used his angelic powers to stop the pokemon from following him, not wanting them to be caught in this.
ooc: Basically, in this place, even the enviroment has a mind of its own and tries to kill everything that comes near. It's sufficient to drive fear into the hearts even of those without emotion.

"I believe they have great potential to help people. I believe the same of you. Allow me to test your abilities. Crystal Ice Mirrors!" A lone mirror rose up in front of Kratos. "Forbidden Jutsu: Gedo Mark: Seal!" He intentionally rebounded the seal off the mirror and onto himself. His bloodline jutsus being sealed, the mirror fell. "I have sealed my own jutsus. I have only my sword to fight you now." He drew his sword and stood ready. "If you can defeat me here, you may have what it takes to enter the deeper reaches of the abyss."

(I never said he dashed, i just said he took the step that usually marks the start of a dash. You have to remember, his main goal here is to iratate Kratos, so he fakes an attack.)
Slate stopped as he took the step. then watched as Kratos prepared himself. "See, you have no reading of my moves."
