Crash Landing

[Kiki]

"I think I better talk to your...friend," Yuski said. "If he hadn't pissed Ombreon off, they'd still be here and willing to help."

[Blade]

"I know. Although, I wouldn't say anything about him having an ego. Or else." Destinos warned Yuski, "He'd just go ballistic, literally. The last time he got mad, he threw ten knives at the king of Gyra before i could calm him."

[Kiki]

Yuski shrugged. "I can handle just about anything you throw at me," she said. "Well, let me talk to him."

[Blade]

"All right." He reached down to pick up the Elf. "I can get us back there quickly, if I use my boosters. Just hop onto my hand."

[Kiki]

"I can run at a fairly decent speed," Yuski said. "Not to mention I can teleport there in a split second."

[Blade]

"You can teleport? I can too. Let's go." With that, he warped, reappearing in front of Astros, who asked, "Well? What was it?"
"A friend, who wishes to speak to you."

[Kiki]

Yuski appeared right behind Destinos. "Well yeah. Common maic practice," she said in response to Destinos. She looked right at Astros. "Look, buddy, you really shouldn't make fun of others like that especially Ombreon or an opponent that you don't know their strengths and weaknesses. We might look weak, but we're strong especially when we stand together. Technology is nothing against magic." She narrowed her eyes, furrowing her brow and glaring hard at Astros. "You think that just because your technology is superior it gives you the right to look down on us. Wrong, Mr. I-Think-I-Know-It-All. Let me tell you something. You don't know everything. You seem to not understand the fact that magic is strong and so are Pokemon. You really need to stop judging and trying to piss others off. It won't get you very far on this world. It especially wouldn't get you far in the 3rd D, either. Something like that could've gotten you thrown in jail. Buddy, you need to learn to be polite."

[Blade]

"oh, like you are now. I think i fit in amongst such brutality just fine, thank you." Astros commented.
"Astros! Just be more careful!" Destinos said, "I won't be around all the time to help you if you get into trouble!"

[Kiki]

"I know how to be polite on this planet whereas you don't," Yuski said. "So does Kiki. She's normally very calm, but you pissed Ombreon off and so she in turn got pissed off. Those two are connected at the spiritual level, so they constantly know what the other is thinking and feeling. The reason I'm being like this is because I'm trying to explain to you what you did wrong. People in this city are very big on being polite. If you piss someone off, they can haul your ass to jail."

[Blade]

"If you'd allow me a minute to talk, i can tell you what I was doing." Astros said, sitting down, all signs of viciousness gone.
"Why the sudden change, Astros?" Destinos asked, "Now you are acting like you did at the other planets...?"

[Kiki]

Yuski scratched her head, her flute in her left hand.

[Blade]

"You see, throughout our travels, i have gained the ability to gauge an opponent's strength. I knew all along what Ombreon was capible of, as well as everyone else we met. I knew, for example, that Destinos's Particle Cannon, would be able to match the strength of that attack."
"I never knew you could do that, Astros!" Destinos commented after Astros finished.

[Kiki]

"I doubt you can gauge the stregth of magic, though, with its ability to be adapted by its user in a split second," Yuski said. "And if you knew what Ombreon was capable of, why did you goad her like that?"

[Blade]

Astros looked at Yuski as though he thought she was joking, then realized she was serious. "I wanted to see one of her moves. It would make more sense to you if you had an IQ like mine. See, my people watch our enemy's moves, find weak points, then build stuff to expolit those weak points. That's how we survive."

[Kiki]

"I understand that," Yuski said. "That's how my sensei-" she flinched "-taught me. That's how most of us 3rd D-ers work. While what you did makes sense, it was stupid at the same time. Like I said before, Ombreon and Kiki are connected at the spiritual level. They're more or less one person in two bodies. Ombreon gets mad, Kiki gets mad. That's usually how it works. And Kiki's one of the most influencial people on this planet. You were really stupid to make her hate you like that. Look. I understand your intention for doing that, but you really shouldn't do that on this planet."

[Blade]

"Very well. I will try to behave myself with these," he paused, thinking for a better word, "Untrained people."
Destinos breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, i won't have to keep an eye one you, then."

[Kiki]

"Untrained my ass," Yuski said, keeping her voice even. "If you're referring to Ombreon, I already explained that. But most the people here are quite civilized including myself. True, we travel a lot, but that doesn't mean we're uncivilized. Also keep in mind the fact anybody around you could be a magic user especially in this city. If you can't read aura, it's almost impossible to tell a magic user from a normal person. And most of the magic users here are from the 3rd D like I am. They've grown up either completely in that culture or bi-culturally."

[Blade]

"I was not speaking of anyone in particular. You must remember, the technolegy i'm used to blows away all the tech on this planet put together. I was speaking in those terms." Astros commented, staring down the elf and setting a hand on the handle of his blaster.

[Kiki]

"I know, but magic could pose a challenge. With magic, users often react instinctly. I could easily make a shield that could neutralize or rebound Ombreon's Aurora Beam," Yuski said. "And that's pretty powerful as you could tell."

[Blade]

"What is this, magic, exactly? After all, this planet is the only one that appears to have such a thing." Astros asked Yuski, appearently intent to find out how Magic worked.

[Kiki]

"Come on outside and I'll show you. Surrounded by metal like this, it's harder to use," she said.

[Blade]

"Very well. I will follow you into the sand." With that, he lept from the side of the ship, which was pretty much about his height from the sand. He took a few steps, then stopped. Destinos came up behind him, ready to use his Deflector in case anything came their way. He only hoped it would be able to defend them from this kind of attack. It worked with lazers, but Magic?

[Kiki]

"Don't worry. Not gonna hurt you," Yuski said, reading Destinos' aura. "Just trust me. I promise I won't hurt you." With that, she raised her flute to her lips and began to play. A pillar of sand in the shape of a giant snake rose up from the sand and wriggled around to the tune, much like a real snake would do for a charmer. Yuski changed the tune and the snake's body hardened. The scales were made of Qaeda, a mixture of diamond and quartz. The inside became hollow but a thin sheet of onyx formed on the inside to reduce the glare. Yuski hit a high note and the snake slithered around the immediate area, dancing in time with the tune the Elf was playing. A small black ball appeared above the far end of the flute, then the snake changed form to a large bird, still made of the same materials. It took off and the small ball of Darkness hit the bird. One would expect it to shatter, but instead, a million electric blue flower petals floated down. When they touched the ground, they became sand again. After all of the petals disappeared, Yuski lowered her flute

[Blade]

"Well, that was interesting. And the flute is the cause of this?" Astros, already searching for a weak point in Yuski's techniques.

[Kiki]

"No. The flute's just a tool," Yuski said. "I can do it without. Watch." With that, she picked up and handful of sand and formed it into a rose made of Qadea.

[Blade]

"Hm. Not as powerful without the flute, huh?" Astros commented, "A rose isn't really dangerous."
"You must forgive him, Yuski," Destinos began, "His civilization is based on technolegy completely. He will need time to get used to the idea of Magic."

[Kiki]

"I can see that. Any civilization without magic is a sad one," she said. "They must have irradicated all traces of it. Magic is a natural force that exists everywhere. It cannot be either created nor destroyed; it can only be changed into different forms." She looked at Astros. "Your civilization might be great in technology, but I doubt that can stand up to magic."

[Blade]

"What you did there, it was like the evil that destroyed a section of Astros's planet. I wonder if that was a user of Magic we fought, Astros!" Destinos looked as though he was confused.
"I doubt it. The attacks were mostly physical, slashes, with one where he brought his four blades together to charge a beam. I don't think that has anything to do with this."

[Kiki]

"Actually, you never know," Yuski said. "As long as there were areas of forests, mountains and the like, magic would still have been present. Somebody could've easily harnessed it."

[Blade]

"Hmm. I also had another ability there that I couldn't use elsewhere - preminition. I could feel how and when an attack was going to come." Astros mused.
