Inari nodded.

"We're here" Kaushal said after a while. He opened a portal that let out into a hot spring.

[Kiki]

"Wow!" Inari said. "I haven't been to a hot spring in a long time."
"Yeah," Matsu said with a nod, then frowned. "But we stil don't know were we are."
"That's true, but lighten up a bit," Inari said. "You're always a pessimist."

[kratos]

Kaushal helped them out down into the hot spring. "This is deep inside a mountain range. There's no passage in or out, so this is the only way really to access it."

[Kiki]

Inari nodded and sat down, then took her cloak off and Matsu did the same. His outfit was a long-sleeved button up gray shirt, white gloves and black pants. He sighed and sat close to his sister. "How we wound up in this mess is beyond me..." he sighed.
"You're no fun." Inari playfully stuck her tongue out at him and he sighed again and so did she. She always tried to lighten the mood, but it was hopeless when her brother was like this.

[kratos]

"I'm used to this kind of weird stuff," Kaushal said.

[Kiki]

"We're not. The weirdest we're used to is alchemy," Inari said.

[kratos]

"Well, we're going to have to travel in my world again to get out."

[Kiki]

"Great..." Matsu muttered. "This is almost as bad as..."
"Shh! You know we're not supposed to talk about that!" Inari said.

[kratos]

"Oh? Well, even if you do, who will know? Only 3 people are here to hear you."

[Kiki]

"We're strictly sworn to secrecy," Matsu stated in a voice that showed he had clearly said it before. "Under numeral I, section A, subsection C: 'By no means are you allowed to talk to anybody about the event in your past that caused you to get your automail'." Inari nodded.

[kratos]

"That's one thing I don't get. Can you at least explain to me what an 'automail' is?"

[Kiki]

Inari nodded. She pulled her left glove off and rolled her sleeve up, revealing a metal arm. "This is automail," she said.
"Equivalent exchange," Matsu muttered.

[kratos]

"Hello. That's just weird."

[Kiki]

[Yep. My bro introduced me to it.]

Inari rolled her sleeve back down and put her glove back on. "Not wher we come from. A lot of people have it," she said. "I don't really know of any better way short of transmutating a new arm and attatching it to your body that would be a better substitute."

[kratos]

"I might," Kaushal said.

[Kiki]

"We're obviously not as far along technologically as you are," Matsu said. "But we're doing well enough."
"And we're fine with the way we are," Inari said. She looked at her hand, her eyes filled with sadness. Emily... Tears filled Inari's eyes and Matsu's also clouded.

[kratos]

"Hey, if there's something you guys need help with, I know this guy who can alter reality."

[Kiki]

"No," Inari said quietly as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"We chose to break the taboo and we must live with the consequences," Matsu muttered under his breath.

[kratos]

"If you think so. I nearly destroyed the whole planet once and I don't have any consequences to face."

[Kiki]

The twins were silent as they looked at each other. Matsu shook his head. "No, Inari." Inari sighed and closed her eyes.

[kratos]

"No to what? I nearly used Vegnagun to destroy the whole world. If Kratos hadn't stopped the blast, this world would be gone. You don't always have to bare the consequences."

[Kiki]

The twins remained silent for a while until Matsu asked, "Is there anywhere around here that isn't tundra?"

[kratos]

"Plenty of places," Kaushal said. "It's a big city."

[Kiki]

The twins glanced at each other. "City?" they said together.

[kratos]

"Well, I know it doesn't seem like it from here, but it is."

[Kiki]

"That's good. We've been wandering for at least two months since our ship crashed," Inari said.

[kratos]

"I don't know many people there personally, but I could hook you 2 up with rooms in Kratos' castle. Trust me. You live in the city, you get to know Kratos. For better or worse. He's the self proclaimed guardian with the power to back that claim up."

[Kiki]

"All right," Matsu said.
"Sounds good," Inari said. "I just hope he'll accept us..." She looked at her left hand, clearly thinking of what he would think of the automail. "Outside of Amestris, we were always regarded as freaks because of it even though we helped people..."

[kratos]

"The guy's over 4000 years old. He'll accept you. He's seen crazier things."
